[.] Choose: Flip over 1 of your face-down Prize cards or 1 of your opponent’s face-down Prize cards. If the card is a Supporter card, use its effect as an effect of this attack. (The flipped-over Prize card remains face-up for the rest of the game.)
[M][C] Jaw Bite: 20 damage. During your next turn, any damage done by to the Defending Pokemon by attacks is increased by 20.

Weakness: Fire (+10)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 1

yay! no gallade for states

It dos'nt mean that gallade can't attack.

And when your flipin my prizes I'll be destroying your hand and setup.

Gallade may still be able to attack but it can definitely give them some problems later in the game not being able to one hit Pokemon that need to be KO'd. Since the decks starter is absol, they have to let you flip up prizes or risk you getting a good set up. And every once in a while you may hit a supporter.

Poor Gallade. Too bad Gallade is probably not even going to be played throughout States/Regionals (can I say a Wailord/Blissey deck with Leftovers, Potions, and SSU's??? I think so). BTW, My Gallade goes out T2 w/ a DRE and a Multi.

Why do you play multi...? run the two types and DRE. Multi blows.

OMG!
Claydol ex is gonna come back and pwn everything!
Actually not a bad counter to Gallade. 90 damage and discard a DRE is pretty nice. With Lake Boundary you OHKO it.

Yea, I saw this and thought about it too, but it wont be worth it once DP4 comes out. Gallade won't be used as much, and you wont feel the need to counter it so much that you make something your starter to stop it.

Skull Bash, I think you are wrong. Gallade is going to be more powerful than ever due to the popularity of Electivire Lv.X (because it takes down Wailord). But, I may be wrong. Either way, Mawile is to risky to play and Claydol ex is good and all but, Gallade slaughters it.

One turn for flipping over one single prize card? Doesn't sounds very good to me.

There are starters that do much better things for no energy.

btw Electivire doesn't take out Wailord because Wailord decks will most likely be played with Blastoise (SW/CG).

120 damage x 2 (weakness) (Pulse Barrier takes off all stadiums/tools but, WP).

WP wouldn't prevent the effect of Electvire LvX's attack to itself. I know the stadiums could still be discarded, just not the tool. So just make sure you don't play your stadium ^_~!

Wailord is a pretty good card. But... it IS kinda weak in terms of attacks. Go Wailord EX anyday compared to this. The better counter to Electivire or any LV.X is Milotic. It's the anti-LV.X for the set and you are screwed if you end up against it with a LV.X.

^About Milotic

Except... Uh... What level X pokemon DO you actually see?

Gardevoir (who will just hit someone else :/) and... Maybe Magmortar (in FireTRUK). Magmortar, again can just snipe the bench.

So you're really only messing up Electivire LV.X, who will just switch out for a non-LV.X :///

It's not like Safeguarders were... Mostly 'cause no one has the LV.X as their MAIN attacker, or even only attackers (Hello Eevee-Lutions...What're you going to do? Play three Jolteon EX then an Absol EX to come one damage counter short of Knock Out?)

And yes... I do think Wailord will be an awesome trick for Water Players to mess up Gallade. No matter what, Gallade can't one shot the big whale thing, and if you're pulling tricks like Super Scoop Up? Owch... Not to mention Water's got not half bad support (Hi Blastoise, remember that portable wall you were looking for...?), AND I still predict people will play FireTRUK come states (Need something to counter the obviously popular Leafeon LV.X decks)

Pity tho that Gallade can hit Wailord for 150 for the mere price of a DRE, unless the Wailord player has a Holon WP in time. Pity also that Gardy X makes Wailmeat out of Wailord right after that little incident with Sonic Blade.

Also Rai, know that thing called Lucario X? He's supposed to be in those decks that require no skill at all...Mario I believe the name was? Oh wait, we were talking about decks, sorry, my bad. Blisscario then? No? Yeah, still got to find a DECK with Lucario X.
