What 360 System should I get and why?
I know there are diff versons of the 360 like the Halo one and the elite.
Which one should I get?
Microsoft Xbox 360 Pro Bundle
Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade
Microsoft Halo 3 Limited Edition Xbox 360
Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade and Zune Player Black 4GB with Bonus! (The Bonus is Free Points)
Xbox 360 Elite Starter Bundle
Xbox 360 Elite

The Zune is only good in 60 and 80GB quantities unless you only like music. But honestly this is a useless topic, asking friends for their choice in system makes sense, but their choice in bundle doesn't; it's unrealistic because those that already own one will likely vote for what they purchased, and at that time it might've been on sale or other bundles didn't exist.

Its a question you should ask yourself,we can't tell what you like.

Elite's are overall better than any 360 as far as hardware goes. If you like to play arcade games, get the arcade one,if you like halo, get the limited edition one,if you need an mp3 player get the one with a zune. A 4gb still has its uses, prob holds at least 500 songs and you can use it when your running/biking/exercising because it won't affect the drive. If you do that with the 30gb+ you stand the risk of getting corrupt data by doing that.

So to sum it up, get the one that will suit what you'd use it for.

He answered your question XD lolz i would recommend the simple 350 dollar 360

Im just posting cause the elite you can get teh red rings too

The elites are 500 and not 400...

Ahh the elites are not $500, I got mine for $399. just a couple weeks ago and it came with 2 games. If you have the money buy the elite as you get the 120 GB hard drive as to upgrade it later it will cost you $249 just for the 120 gb hard drive alone. And with the elite you get the wireless controller, head set and HDMI hook ups which are insane to buy after as well. I have my elite hooked up to HD and it is a nice picture! The halo version is the same as the elite but it only comes with a 40 GB hard drive I believe. But if you are a hard core Halo fan than it is a must. I couldn't find one of those otherwise I would have bought it.

So my answer for you would be a 360 elite!!!

Where are you buying from?
I just got my halo 3 one and after 1 hour it over heated and would not start back up.
(it only had 20gb hd and cost $400)
So I took it back and go the elite and it cost 500 with tax... so it only cost ne 450 because i get 10% off because my step mom works there...

personaly i wouldnt bother with the elite.
i think the halo 3 one is the coolest, but i got the live version.

but whatever would be best for you is what you should get.

No new system overheats after an hour of play... Something else happened like you had it right next to a heater, or its highly insulated by some weird enclosure its in.

Thats insane though, before you play with your elite put it on an open air flat surface away from any heating sources. These things aren't fragile.

He's right buddy. I have my WII in a cabnet and it has not over heated. Plus you said your WII overheated too. You are putting you Consols in a very hot place!

I bought the kid a xbox 390 arcade and the wife's mom got him a WII. So which one should we keep and which one should we bring back? Or do we spoil the kid rotten and keep them both?

Not sure why mine was so cheap? I got the elite package with 2 games and the 120 GB hard drive. I would serious reccommend the elite package over any of the others as it is the only way you can get the 120 GB hard drive without having to spend the $225(aprox give or take qa little) . the halo version is cool but it is only green and you get the minimal memory. I myself own both a regualr 360 and the elite and if I they had the elite out earlier I would have bought it first.

I have both. The key here is game control; buy the same amount of games as usual, just now they have a choice of two systems' libraries.

Nah it was sitting beside my tv and it was updating when the power shut off on it and it was really hot and ti would not start back up for a long time then it did it again...
