anybody think banette(SW)/lunarock(GE) will be good?

exactly what the title says.
imo, this deck seems like it will be one of the top tier decks's for states.
lunatone discards bannete's,while also drawing, and solrock stops psychic resistence so bannete can get a clear 80 damage.
also, with multi energy, you can use solrock's attack to do 20 and attach to a benched pokemon.
this deck seems like it will be REALLY good.
maybe not as good as bansol from last worlds, but i still think this deck will be a viable deck for states.

there ARE problems i see with the deck
. Low HP
. certain # of damage possible
. Luna/rock starts will throw off your consistency(BIG time)
. Honchkrow REALLY puts a hurt on this deck(bannete is weak, honchkrow is resistent to lunarocks)
. Absol can t1 kill your lone shuppet(raid+sp dark)
. Magmortar can heal off the damage dealt to him
. Decks without psychic weakness cannot be 1hko'd....which IS problem
. Tank decks like torterra will be ALMOST impossible to beat(dawn stadium/leftovers/high hp)

now some GOOD things about the deck would be
. Bannette hits gallade/cresselia's weakness(and a few other psychic weak pokemon)
. Luna/rock hits blissey for 50
. Solrock gets back energy for benched bannete's to setup
. Low energy cost for all pokemon(1 for 20, 2 for 80)
. Lunatone discards those healing stadiums(dawn and moonlight)
. Solrock stops all resistence from effecting your attacks(since all your pokemon are psychic/fighting)
. Absol starts for your opponent can mean big time hitting(discarding nrg for solrock and bannete's for bannete)
. Running crystal beach can slow down those gardylade's w/cresselia
. Suzy's lottery helps SO MUCH
. Buffer piece will reduce damage done to bannete, causing less 1hko's
. Pluspower/strength charm will possibly hit those 1hko marks
. Castaway engine provides energy
. Warp points will help you recover from bad starts
. Holon mentor helps you setup MUCH faster

I think it is definitely gonna be played a lot.

Low Hp isnt big deal, the quick damage also covers the damage output limit. The others are rare cases.

I'm thinking this is more of a "looks good on paper" sort of deck for now. Granted, you now have a (somewhat) more consistent way to get Banette into the Discard, but I'd think it'd slow down the deck some, especially if you have to start with Sol or Rock.

Banette ex had limited HP and damage Output, and he wasn't anything short of game-changing.
Some fighting coverage is recommended though

T2 banette has been working well for me and I think with GE it will be much better thanks to Solrock and Lunatone. You could be doing 80 a turn with the help of quickballs and draw!

the difference between then and now would be that now there is gallade, and before there wasnt.
gallade has a damage cap of 180(flip over 6 prizes would be 20x6=120)
meaning he can 1hko your guys for a few turns before the damage parade stops.

This would only hurt Banette decks from the way that I see it. For a major few reasons:

You won't start with Shuppet nearly as much, critical to the deck working properly
Banette doesn't need any energy acceleration because of its extremely low requirements
Removing Psychic Resistance will do almost nothing since the Banette can already avoid that by using its first attack
Using that attack to get rid of stadims is silly when you can just play one from your hand to replace the current one
Damage output is way to low for the bad effects that these cards deliver

I know you stated a few of those things, but still man. These cards would do much more harm than help to a deck that already struggles with anything other than Psychic weak decks.

1)i understand your reasoning to that.
2)haha, its always nice to have that extra energy when you need it.
3)i use the first attack to KO an absol/etc. early game..thats about it. the rest of the game is focused on 80 dmg.
4)i play crystal beach in my list, and 2 at that. So,im not ALWAYS going to outstadium them, and in that case, lunatone helps.
5)BAD EFFECTS!!!!!!
hahahahah.
so i guess suzy's lottery is a bad card too?
