What's the best damage spreader?

What pokemon do you think is the best overall (not just damage potential) damage spreader out right now (GE spoilers included)?

Personally, I think the Empoleon line seems to be built for this purpose better than anything else, but a few others seem to be close. Magmortar, Lucario, Cloyster, even Flygon Ex d are all incredibly good at dropping lots of damage counters all over the place.

Magmortar is a really good damage spreader. He's a stage 1 with a healing body who does 40/20/20. It's easy to spread damage around, and on top of that the lvl x has a 100 damage snipe attack.

Empoleon is also good. The aqua shower of prinplup, the 40 snipe with empoleon, and 70 possible 20 to the bench is nice.

I think magmortar is probably this format's best damage spreader.

Magmortar's by far the best single pokemon for damage spread (placing 80 damage around the table for 3 energy? 2 of which get to be colorless? AND DRE doesn't negate bench damage? Yikes.) Empoleon can place 90 too, but with a coin flip. Thus, reliable spreading's going to have to be the low HP Prinplup or a bit slower Empoleon. Hm...

I'd love to see a Flygon list around too... The Vibrava spreads, the delta EX capitalizes on that, and the normal Flygon kills Blissey and other annoying things. With Gardevoir and Gallade (the most difficult matchup that I've seen) becoming less devastating after Great Encounters, that might have a good chance too. After all, Flygon's always been a decent card with a nice evolution line, just Gallade OHKOs make you lose.

DRE does negate bench damage though.

On Magmortar? Magmortar does 20 to 2 benched pokemon. DRE makes you do 10 to 2 benched pokemon instead. It doesn't turn that 20 into 0, no. It reduces your damage, not negates (quite a distinction there)

Prinplup for instance, does 10 damage to all pokemon. A DRE makes that 0 damage. That's what I was referring to.

ok I thought you meant that it didn't reduce any.

I think overall the Empoleon line is the better line due to better typing and attacks. Prinplup being able to do a consistent 10 to every one of your opponent's Pokemon with an option to peg one for 40 with another attack is great, and Empoleon does auto 40 to one of your opponent's Pokemon or 70 to the active and a flip for 20 to a benched.

Wait for GE Blaziken. 80 on any poke you want, in exchange for the discard of 2 Fire energy. Having Firestarter Blaziken in the line who can spread 10 around the bench and hit for 50 in the process and you got yourself something interesting.

Also, SW Vibrava + DF Flygon Ex is pretty good in the more slow spreading of damage.

Ampharoes SW can spread damage around. It can do 70 to the active Pokemon and 0 to the Bench,or if you discard,70 to Defending, and 20 to each Benched Pokemon with Energy. Then it's:pbody:
does 10 to each Benched Pokemon when your opponent uses a Supporter!

Actually, thinking about it, Metagross EX could also be useful. Scanblast does 70 to the active and to any on the bench with the same name. This could criple T2 decks severely.

^ That card is practically my mortal enemy
I was playing GatrQueen, and it 2- Shotted all of my Gatr's
All of them. I had all 4 out.
I wasn't too pleased.
