The Mob's gaggle of Cities....

... So I wrote this type of report for BR's and thought I would give it a shot again.

This reports is mostly on the decks my family and I (The Lynch Mob) used at the plethora of CC's we were able to go to.

My son, Dale, went from Shiftry EX/Lucario that he used for BR's to Hurricane. We stuck with it for about 6 cities trying different builds (some time 2-3 cards difference, others 10 cards). But his luck wasn't going well with it. With the speed of decks in his group and at least a FTKO loss at each city, this deck wasn't fitting his play style or his metagame. I knew he still liked Lucario. So after seeing a new trainer engine one C.City (the Fishing engine), I decide to make a turn 2 fast deck with that engine. I came up with BanCario with Crystal beach. We tweaked it over the next 6 cities and he went from 2-3 or 3-2 records to making a top 4 record each tourney. :thumb:

My daughter, Heather, was able to make it to one CC (her job has her working allot on weekends). She top 4'd that tourney. She played what I call Triple threat. It was Flygon d/flygon D ex/ flygon/meganium with Lake boundary stadium. I built it to counter and OHKO Blissey and Gardy decks.

My wife, Nancy, went from playing Duskqueen (which she played all of BR's) to my build of a Gardy deck.
It had absol/Gardy(LvX)/gallade/mismagius and BF stadium. She was able to play in more Cities than Heather but not as much as Dale and me due to work also. She liked the deck more than Duskqueen and it was still purple (my build more so than most).

Me, Dana, went from playing Garphlosion (that I played all BR's) to playing Blissey/Arcanine/delcatty. Fire has a soft place in my heart. I loved the speed and the ability to OHKO with a strength charm (which Garchomp lost when more 130HP's start seeing play). Well after some bad beats and inconsistent plays with the deck I was looking for a different way to play the same pokemon. Well that one City came around that I discovered the Fishing engine and said that’s it. Arcey(Arcanine/Blissey) was born with the fishing engine and buffers/FF/charms. Consistency rose and records increased. There were a few Cities that DWDucks became a problem. A friend and I decided that Lati@s lock would be the play and it fit well in Arcey. So after Dale did well with Bancario/C.Beach and seeing Arcey still had uphill battles against Gardy, I switched to Bancario/C.Beach with the fishing engine. I love the deck. I have little different tweaks then my son but basically the same list. I feel so flattered that some of my friends have decided to make and play a version of their own.

Next stop States with "fishing engine 2.0"

Just don't get rid of Nancy's Mightyena!! 2.0 is in the works and so far it is ok... will have to see if the Tops gets released or not!

OK, Dana, 2 main questions...

1. Any titles won among the group? If not, what decks were toasting the events?

2. When are you moving to St. Louis area? We gotta have a turn on your World Tour!!

Great to hear you guys are still strong and at it.

Hey Vince,
1. No luck this CC's for titles, Dale hit second twice (once a misplay, the other deck crapped out for the title) and then all others with Bancario, 3-4? he had a 4-1/3-1 record but came in 5th(resistance:nonono:). I had the same curse I get from time to time, going 4-1 one day, next 1-4 with the same deck. Think I made top 4-5 times out of the 10-12 CC's we went to. Nancy made 5th twice and got bumped by me at one, as I was 4th.

1.a. As for decks, I said DWDuck was a pain in the side for about 2-3 tourneys, then Gardy, after that it was one of wins for decks like Blissey/sableye, Blissey/eletrode, Ape, Electrivire and Magmortar? Etc.

2. We are at the end of our World tour for a while, I have a year and half before I retire. So we plan to stick our roots in around here. Not to say that the next career won't take me out and about, but I would like to settle for a while. There will always be the Pokemon Touring we do, so don't count out the occasional visit to your area.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

I loved reading these!

Ill add my synopsis when I can about what I played...If you want?

I'd love that Clay. Then the post will have some winning titles in and about it.

Ok Heres that synposis that I promised! :Thumb:

I,(Clay Carney),
Started off te season with a deck that I though would catch people offguard with its speed an power. Blissey/Weavile which a few of my friends and I dubbed PinkDeath LOL. After my dismal performance (3-2) I decided to shake up the deckbuilding stuff and see what came out. Little did I know, that that deck would be Gardy/Gallade/TecH...I had talk to Mob some over the phone about what to play, cuz the previous tourney we saw the mergence of DWD, and he mentioned to me that Lati-Lock was still viable, so I TecH'd those in to my Gardy deck and voila..A beast had emerged...I then proceded to go 14-2 with it in 3 CC's missing one cut at 3-1..

From there on I played GAG, seeing how dominant Absol could be...And posted a huge string of wins with very few losses inbetween. All the 2nd and 3rd finishes below are with GAG! Last weekend, I decided that GAG was getting too much heat so I changed decks to show that im not going to be countered myself and decided that Magmortar/Blissey was the play and sure enough I posted 2 great CC records going (6-1 Win) on saturday and 5-1 Miss cut on Sunday...

My Brother, (George Clay),
has played the same deck all but once...And that is Pink Death...The one instance I forgot his deck in the car, so he played Rhyperior..

He did make one great showing at the Woodlands (In which I won) making top 4 (Against J. Kettler) Losing on time 1-1.

Basically thats how we did, and below are my placings and the decks that I used to win!
