Okay, so we all know pokemon D/P is online right? Well, whats the best :pokeball: out there and whos the best? Ive already been beat the crap out of by :fire: type. Even with Empoleon. It doesnt make me happy. Got any suggestions? Well? Anybody?

Have you tried EV/IV training your pkmn? it really helps if your lv 100  otherwise..don't use all the same kiond of attacks.. cover your weaknessess i really helps

The best Poke Ball out there, in my opinion, is the Luxury Ball, purely for aesthetics. A close second for the Dusk Ball, but it's a bit overused by most.

If Fire Pokemon are giving you trouble, try the overused Garchomp, for quick and strong Earthquakes. Also, these Pokemon can absorb fire attacks and boost their own with the power.

I really like Quick Ball, personally.
Now, here's the thing with Quick Ball, and I find it controversial... I really only think it looks good with Pokemon that are either just yellow, or are both yellow and blue. And even for the electric type yellows, the Ultra Ball just looks spiffier.

I think the only thing I use in a Quick Ball is my dear and loyal Flying Chatot, Quick Beat.

Why? It's not cheap or anything. Using a master ball is a sign that the pokemon was so hard to get/try to catch, the person gave up and used it. It's a quitters ball. Unless it's a pokemon in the GBA games like latios that run automaticaly. And for Fire types, EV a tyranitar with adamant nature with stone edge or earthquake.

I've only used Master Ball three times. First I used it when I was a n00b on FireRed against Mewtwo. Then on Colosseum, I had one Pokemon left, my opponent was Nascour, with Metagross and something else. I threw my Master Ball at Metagross, caught it, and got KO'ed. Third time was on Diamond, when I used it to capture Dialga because I was going for a fast time.

That's the thing; it can be done, but it's disappointing to see they gave up.

I manipulated the infinite Ball glitch of Colosseum when I played it quite a few years ago, and regretted it. Recently, I picked it back up, to catch them without the glitch, or Master Ball usage.

The only pokemon that I will respect that have been caught in a Master Ball are Runners (Latios, Cresselia, etc.) and Event Pokemon (because they're event pokemon. Need I say more?). But in any other instance it really annoys me, and says to me that either the guy was too lazy to catch the pokemon the regular way (in which case they hacked a ton of Master Balls) or the pokemon itself was hacked (those people really disgust me). I once came across a guy in a tournament who had a Venasaur in a Master Ball (don't know he got in with such an obviously hacked pokemon), I swear to god I wanted to punch him so hard in the mouth. I settled for toasting him with my Infernape.

I used my Master Ball on Dialga for the fact I wanted to finish the game, and possibly for IVs.

All my other Pokemon are in PokeBalls because they were hatched

Event Pokemon seem much cooler if they aren't in a Master Ball, in my opinion. Shiny Pokemon as well. I have a poor Ponyta drowning in a Dive Ball in one of my games, simply because I was playing the character with a certain mentality in mind, and he thought blue = water Pokemon = use Dive Ball. :frown:

MAHAHA! Poor Ponyta. Personally, my inclination is to use Dusk Balls for the pure convenience, but in most other cases I'll also use a ball that fits (for example, when I discovered that my Happiny that hatched from the Hiker Egg sucked I tossed it and went on a Chansey spree to get better IVs and cut down on IV Breeding time (I am so glad that Chansey are so much easier to get in D/P. Seriously, they ran from me every time in the Safari Zone, whether I rocked 'em or fed 'em), and I caught them all with Heal Balls (partially because at the time I had an empty slot in my party, so they were going there anyway and I wanted them at full health. And yes, I do in fact abuse soft reset for these purposes. I am not above cheapness). I figured, Chansey=pink. Heal Ball=pink. Chansey=nurse in all instances where they are shown in the anime, Chansey=the only pokemon capable of properly using in-field effect of Softboiled multpile times without endangering self... Heal Ball.

I caught Regirock in a dive ball.

Oh btw using any ball other than a poké-ball puts you at an extreme strategical disadvantage. Anyone who's bred for egg moves will know all about that.

It's true, I must admit. There isn't as much of a disadvantage in having certain non-Egg Movers in a different ball, such as Porygon and Beldum evos, but it does inform your opponent that you have no Emerald-only move tutor moves on them at the least (or, that you're cheating if you do, if there is no way to get the moves onto the D/P Pokemon, such as TMs or new relearns o_O;).

I like its exterior look, but I just wish Pokemon wouldn't come out of it from a red fade out...
Yeah, I mean, that's the sort of thing I would think you would reserve for a Ghost type Pokeball, but with purple fade out. Premiere Ball should have just released it like a normal pokeball, since everything about it but the outer aesthetics are the same as one too.
