Good! Advertise an event at the FX location which no one knows anything about  . The last time I actually played one was at the 1st US Nats after WotC lost the license. Isn't a theme deck challenge a theme deck + 2 boosters and then 2 more at the event's conclusion?

Yes, the theme deck challenge is not a side event. You choose one.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it to both Fairfax and Woodbridge. Kinda ironic that the Woodbridge prerelease is on the day after my b-day.

Rules are on the OP site (I think!) It is an either/or; you can't do both. Basically, its purpose is for those who don't feel comfortable taking six packs and turning them into a deck to still have fun at a prerelease. You get a theme deck from the new set (there are 3 this time to add to the variety) and play against other TDC participants in standard 6 prize games--but the TDC is nonsanctioned. At the end of the event, you keep the theme deck and get 4 boosters. (Plus the promo stuff) I wll allow the TDC to be a parent/junior age child event--if they want to work together, that's ok. Since this is the first one of these I've done (to my knowledge, the previous PTO never did them, either) I've ordered a limited number of theme decks. But, even if only 2 want to do this, it has potential--primarily for newer players.

Time was that was the last site that any of my players visited . I think it has become more popular in the last few months though .

I thought you reduced the deck size to 40 cards  .

The last time I remember Sensei doing it was when Arundel Mills Mall, MD, was the closest tournament spot to NoVA. So, we're talking ancient times.

Midlothian on the 10th is just about at capacity (as of Saturday the 26th!!) Quite possibly the earliest capacity prerelease in Richmond Comix history. Oh well, still LOTS of room this coming Saturday in Fairfax (right, SC??)

Top Door Prize this Saturday in Fairfax--Darkrai deckbox from Japan--this was a DP3 deckbox, but remember, we're getting Darkrai a bit out-of-sequence. This is my LAST Darkrai box, so one will NOT be offered in Woodbridge or Midlo.

Last two prereleases in Fairfax have been among the largest attended prereleases, well, anywhere! I'm sure Tim would appreciate it if any folks planning on coming could bring a folding chair (or 2, or 3, or.....) Heck, we could probably even handle another table as well. We've got the space in the "mall" area, but until Hobby Works wakes up and purchases some of this stuff (feel free to drop hints to them on Saturday) we'll have to do it this way. PM ShadowCard and he'll let you know his exact needs.

Good!
Note that no raffle program is currently in place for any chairs/tables brought.

If all else fails, I have a back-up plan involving RC racetrack

Tim says Good in that creepy way his boss says it and everybody couldn't stop saying at league.
Good! No, wait, bad. What do you mean "creepy"? We all find it funny.

Lessssee, it was 78 for MT in Fairfax then a huge drop to a teeeny, paltry group of 65 for SW.

*gulp* did I just say 65?? To steal from Roy Scheider in Jaws, "We're gonna need a bigger store"

Bring chairs, guys--I'll bring the cardz.
