roughly 3 hours ago.
he did a lot for the world and was a very good person in his 12 years as president of the mormon church.
he was 97 and was married for almost 70 years! thats a long time!
now im not an active LDS practicer, but tis a sad day that he's gone.

He lived a long productive life. He will be surly missed on earth, but is now with Heavenly Father. If you want more information on his life works, go to www. lds.org.

To DCP and Lakak....why post? He was an influencial person in the LDS (Mormon) religion. Please respect him. You may not like Mormons or their standards, but you dont usually see too many Mormons shooting students in schools either.

While in college, I met several Mormons. They are nice folk. The religion was not my cup of tea, but that is why this country is great.....freedom of religion!

RIP Mr. Hinckley.

Must be upsetting to lose such a loved and influential leader of your faith.

Sounds like it works a little like the pope, Hinckley became president at 85? Wow, to do all that at that age.

Who said anything about shooting people in school. I just said I never heard of him. I played basketball for a morman church for four years. Went on Mormon retreats. Been up to Salt Lake City Three times. They are on their bikes, when it rains here and I am not home I let them come over and hang on the porch. Still never heard of him.
