I am working on a deck with 4-2-3-1 Empoleon/ LV. X, 2 Kyogre EX CG, 4 Absol, and 1 Suicune SW( sorta like TSD for just Water Pokemon) You can snipe with Empoleon40 or 80 and Kyogre EX for 70, but discard 2 energy each time, but that would be good, cause then I can bring Empoleon back up. Empoleon Lv. X's Superior Command works well with Absol, because it can mess up there hand, but only temp! PLEASE let me know if I need to add anything else, THANKS!!!:thumb:

I tried this deck before and it works. One thing is you can't play kyogre beause it needs a lot of energy and it's an easily koable ex. You are basicly handing over to your opponent 2 prizes and not only that but it needs energy acceleration. Also I played 4-3-4 empoleon and 4 absol and it worked.

So, you played the same exact deck like that? Dang seems like I cant come up with anything new , man!!!

Playing something new for the sake of playing something new will ensure that it fails, because you'll be too busy making it "Original" to make sure that you covered the basics (IE: Did I even put in enough cards to help me get my pokemon onto the table? D=)

NOW, something different because it's not as easily counter-able as other decks commonly played, or a much better reason: Counters popular decks... THAT is worthwhile to build.

Might Mantine MT and Mantyke be useful? Unless you're planning on having an Empoleon lock in Cessation Crystal (bad idea, due to Pachirisu coming out in GE... MAN I have so many complaints about us getting Pachirisu instead of Phione...), Mantine gives you the ability to swap a Piplup start (kinda worthless) into an Absol start (much better). It also lets you recover from using Empoleon LV.X's 80 snipe finisher move a lot quicker (might not be needed, but you never know)

So is this a good idea? So you mean I should just try to make Archetype decks better, Instead of just worrying about building my own original decks?

If you can make this deck actually capable of whipping out Empoleons and charging them up quick enough to go head to head with Archetypes, go for it. I just got the impression that you built the deck for the sole purpose for being different, which was... Worrisome.

For the whole "Can you actually get Empoleons out" thing... It very much seems like the charging them up will be the problem. You don't really want to use Double Rainbow, 'cause then you're making spread from Prinplup non-existent, and making Empoleon unable to Two Hit KO many things (which it relys on :/). You love scramble, but that's not really something you have perfect control over... And when Typholosion comes up, you're all sorts of screwed, 'cause it'll steal your energies away and you can't even one shot it back...
Even more interesting will be the whole "Hm. I don't want to have to wait a turn after Empoleon LV.X sniping. I'll retreat it for another pokemon and have THAT attack." How is the other pokemon attacking without energy? Indeed... How...

I think it's fairly obvious that you shouldn't be relying on Cessation Crystal for the whole game, especially if you're using Empoleon LV.X's power to help hand disruption. Wonder if there's another power that can help the whole energy issue...? It might not help you against discarded Scrambles (that is just frustrating...), but what about the whole "My pokemon got switched, and can't get up!" or "my energy seems to be all over the place due to my Prinplup spreading... Right when I want to scoop something up :/" issues? This MIGHT compromise Absol starts, except for Unown Q ensuring that you start with the pokemon of your choice, and the fact that the stage 1 helps you spread damage anyways (should you ever get 3 energy onto it <_<").
Any ideas...?

Not bad Rai, I understand. I just like to come up with my own stuff! Whether that means making existing decks better or using those "unplayed" cards in a deck. I just like building with my own ideas, its tuff, but it makes you feel good in the long run!!!
