Let's get this party started!


Because last year's event was such a blast, and the venue was big and beautiful, we've decided to stay in the same place.
Here are some pictures to refresh your memory:

Directions to Venue:

Very simple. Whichever way you're coming from, you must get on I-45.

Coming from Houston: Going NORTH on I-45, take Exit 79 (College Park / Tx 242) and turn left at the light.
Then, turn left at the 3rd light (Honor Roll Drive), and left again into the school parking lot.

Coming from Dallas: Going SOUTH on I-45, take Exit 79 (College Park / Tx 242) and turn right.
Then turn left at the 3rd light (Honor Roll Drive) and left again into the school parking lot.

Parking is available in the front and both sides.

Directions - I-45, exit #77 (coming from North or South), on the feeder, next to Memorial Herman Hospital. Only 3.6 miles from the tournament venue.

If they quote you more than this price, let me know right away, and I'll get it fixed for you.

Our block of rooms will only be held until March 20th. I have King and Double rooms set aside. They're the same price. All are non-smoking rooms.

The rate includes breakfast, evening beverages and snacks, wireless HSNA in all rooms, local calls, one hour free long distance at night, HBO, ESPN, CNN, and more, fitness center, guest laundry, indoor / outdoor pool, Whirlpool, business center, and more.

I really like this venue. Will there be students selling snacks like last time?
Also any contests like the fake card design thing last year?

When your as big as me, you get to have two threads, lol. Just kidding. This is the official thread though. Look for more information to be posted soon.

And to answer Jeff's question, yes, and bigger and better this year.

Like last year, we're gonna have a blast. Plenty of room to move around.
 
Okay boys and girls, all the hotel information has been posted on the first post of this thread.

The Drury Inn sits 1/4 mile from the Woodlands Mall and the River Way (you must see it at night). There's plenty of shopping and dining in the area. There's a beautiful mall, Target, Best Buy, and many more. There's also an Outlet Mall in Conroe -- not too far north of The Woodlands.

Also we had to buy new sleeves last year and you had a real good vendor there. Will he be able to make it this year ? Would like to see his new items.

Whats the view like from the roof?

How many extra cards can players have in the deck this year?

Hey everyone! Plans have changed a bit we may actually be in Texas for regionals. We'll still be in Florida for states though. If things go the way I want we'll be back around the beginning of April. Hope to do as well as I did last year at either regionals I go to! Also Mike, seems you forgot to post the date of the tourny on this thread.

1) Glad you like the hotel, I knew you would because of the pool, lol.
2) GBA, DS? SSB Brawl? Thinking about it.
3) The roof view is just fabulous, but off limits to all except for the tourament organizer, lol.
4) We're thinking 66 again, but then again you'll get a DQ.
5) Yes, there'll be a store set-up there.
6) As Mike L. would say, I can neither confirm nor deny that someone from PUI will be there.
7) Unown G? I'm making my own rules for this card, lol.

Directions from Mississippi:: Take I-10, head west to Houston. Continue on I-10 to I-45, then head north I-45 (towards Dallas). Once you get to The Woodlands, exit Research Forest / Tamina exit #77, and make a U-turn under I-45. The hotel is on the feeder road off I-45.

If you need more specifics, you could probably ask Mike Schell.

Hmmmm...Interesting...Possible Prizes If there is enough interest in a Brawl Tourney Mike?
