Great Encounters Prerelease
- Main Event -
Cost: $25 for 6 boosters to build the deck you'll play in the tournament, plus a special Promo Card and a VERY secret surprise item for everyone, while supplies last! I can't tell you what it is until the start of the event, but it's something that everyone will LOVE! More than $35 worth of products for only a $25 entrance fee! Nice!
Main event - at 1:00 - Each player will receive 6 booster packs of the new set (to keep) and may start opening their packs. Players will each build their own 40 card deck (using only those cards from the 6 packs) to play in the tourney and write down their decklist, deciding how many energies they will want to include in their decks. Basic energies are provided on loan, and for this Prerelease we will also have special Proxie Basic Dark and Basic Metal Energies. Everyone will have 30 minutes to build their decks using the cards from the packs they received.
At 1:30 the tourney will begin with 20 minute rounds and play for 4 prizes. The number of rounds we will have will depend on the total number of players there, but probably 4 or 5 rounds.
Prizes: ALL participants will receive 2 more Great Encounters prize packs at the end of the tourney (making a total of 8 packs)

- Theme Deck Challenge -
Cost: $25 for a Theme Deck (complete with new rulebook, themed coin, damage counters and playmat) to keep and use to compete against others in the Theme Deck Challenge, plus a special Promo Card and a VERY secret surprise item for everyone, while supplies last!
This special tourney will be separate from the main event and follows a much more casual format. Great for younger players, parents, or those who may not be as familiar with deck building on their own, but would still like to participate. If you don't know how to play, we can teach you! Each player will choose one of 3 different Great Encounters Theme Decks to use to battle others who also choose the Theme Deck Challenge. You'll have your choice of three different Theme Decks, and the nice thing about playing the Theme Deck Challenge is that each Theme Deck also comes with one of the new Rulebooks and playmats, a special coin, and your own damage counters.
And all participants in this Theme Deck Challenge will ALSO receive 4 more Great Encounters prize packs at the end of their tourney.
(Also, depending on availability, we may have a Great Encounters Theme Deck Challenge Side Event after the main event)

Modified Side Event
( for those who have played in the main event)
Starts at approx 4:30pm, after the main event is over.
Cost: Only $5
We will also have a regular Modified Sanctioned Tourney (no Great Encounters cards in decks) after the main event. Wonderful way to win even more Great Encounters booster packs! Didn't win in the main event? Now's your chance to redeem yourself! Want to show your skills? Bring your best Modified deck to the table!
Prizes:
Great Encounters prizes to be announced, based on number of players. The more the merrier!
So C'mon! Tell your friends to hop in the car and come on over! Get your Mom or Dad to join you and learn how to play! This is the perfect opportunity! And remember, for every new player you bring who hasn't been to one of our events before, you'll get a free booster pack at the end!
