Do You Think Darkrai LV.X is over hyped?

Well I have heard people say darkrai LV.X is great, it is bad and many other things. However, do you think it’s over hyped?

What over hyped means: too popular, too great, too many people like it.

It is so overhyped that it isnt funny!!

Look at Blissey....it was going good until G&G came out and blissey got killed because of fighting weakness but yet look at darkrai X and tell me what weakness he has...and its X2!! I mean come on almost any fighting pokemon can easily KO it

The simple answer to Darkrai X?? Xatu (SW) 1-1 tech does wonders...what are the chances of flipping 2 tails when you check for sleep? 25%....so you either flip 1 tails and 1 heads or 2 heads and you stay alive and awake then you use your teched Xatu to change the defending asleep and boom....your awake and they are in trouble...

Sure its a basic with 100HP yet its a Lv.X so it has to be lvled up in active.. its easily sniped by Magmortar LV.X (and maggy decks are one of the most famous right now), KOed auto by Gallade (even if it has a DRE on it and you don't even have to flip over 1 prize), the new hariyama OHKOs it, Lucario (with a Pluspower or Strength charm which almost every deck with lucario runs), Lucario X is a OHKO...shall I even keep going on??
 
well, most people wouldn't put it active (assuming they know what their doing) , they would LV up, retreat against a fighting deck, and have it on the bench for its power o_O

but i think the card is praised more than it should be
 
No need to keep going. It is overhyped, but I still think it's a card that might be able to do some damage.
Darkrai just needs some better cards to make it really powerful, but I dont know if we'll ever get some cards that will help it.

What sucks is that I usually flip like crap so i'll probably flip 2 tails about 50% of the time.
 
I think Darkrai is certainly overhyped because it is good but not that good and it only works with dark pokemon or weavile but you can try it.
 
Yes. Darkrai X is only good for it's Body, and Magmortar can get rid of it. It's attack is only good to stall, as it's unlikely they'll be getting 2 Tails. The only card I can think of that's more overhyped would be Charizard ex.
 
I think it is the most overhyped card I have ever seen. I mean it's attack is good but how are you going to get the eneryg on it. It needs 3 dark energys and you can't use dres or scrambles. You wouldn't be attacking with it a lot and if you are then I guess you could use wevile as an energy exalorator but the problem is that will slow the deck down because it's a stage 1. If you keep it on the bench how are you going to lv. it up. You have to bring it up and then retreat. Why waste an energy. What does the card work well with. Honchkrow? No Honchkrow is a swarm card and the point of the deck is hand disruption and stack energy on honch and attack with murkrow so darkrai is only good when you are attacking with honch. Blissey? Not really because blissey is only good when it has speed and darkrai and wevile slow it down a lot. Besides those I can't think of anything else that works with it.
 
All the kids love Darkrai. If they have it they will play it. They may not win with it but look at this year in the jr division to see all the happy faces sitting down to shuffle. Sorry you may not have won the game but good luck in the raffle.
 
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it doesn't work in Japan, so it will never win.
 
Darkrai is just an easy kill from Gallade, and a devastating snipe from Magmortar LV.X's Flame Bluster. It just doesn't work in the metagame.
 
I didn't even know it was hyped. Such a good pokemon in a bad environment. If it had 10 more HP and a better basic it would be a lot better.
 
well okay the japanese arent using it but they also have a much different format so they might not find any use for it.
i think it has potential especially with the new premier ball
i think comboing it with weavile and blissey is too much to worry about setting up.
i think it is a really powerful attacker it just has such low hp and then it is double weak to the most popular card in the format right now .. :\
 
Yes, Darkrai Lv X is very over hyped. Yeah, his body is good, and of course your not gonna try to attack with him, but think about it, you're only able to level uup your active, and unless you get it T-2, he's gone against most fighting decks!

Chance of staying asleep after Darkrai puts you to sleep allowing Xatu to wake you up: 1/2. Chance they stay asleep after you shift it: 1/2. So there is only a 25% chance that Xatu will make them miss a turn after they put you asleep. So the "you're awake and they are in trouble" bit of what you said happens as often as the "what are the chances of flipping 2 tails when you check for sleep?" part.

I was talking about if they use that attack to knock you out...but if you stay alive cuz the chances of flipping 2 tails is very low then the opponent then hopes that they can stall you until it is their turn again but then your use xatu and you can start attacking them...i'm not saying you use psychic shift to make them asleep to win...i'm saying you use it so you aren't assleep anymore and then allowing you to attack and with Darkrai X having 100 HP it's not that hard to knock out....hope you understand what i just said
 
Its Overhyped the only reason i lost to it wa because i used a early warp point and one was prized so i decked myself cause i could not flip 2 heads which sucks with my magmortar deck
