Swampert and Empoleon

I recently had to seperate my swampert and empoleon and only made a swampert deck (because he's my favorite) because I didn't think it was working. Now I wonder if that was a mistake and if they could actually work together. I especially want to know because I go up against some different level x decks and I want to know if the swamperts will be enough to handle them.

stage 2 with a stage 2 without much energy accleration will be hard to play. Swampert with a stage 1 is the play!!!

What if I make it so the energy comes faster?
Well, You could always just use DRE and have some plus and strength charms in the deck. IDK if we can move DRE with Swamperts power, but as it reads so far, you can but, I am sure that will change.

So it wouldn't really be a good idea? Even if we just had piplups and mudkips for basics and maybe mantyke and mantine for retreat power?

Well, you need 4 Rare Candy, and ultimatly, 2 Stage 2s in one deck usually mean it's to slow. Gardylade worked because Gardevoir sets Gallade up fast, and they share the Evolution line.

Well I have seen two main pokemon sharing the same deck like magmortar and typhlosion, darkrai and cresselia, and I've even seen someone pulling off empoleon and torterra decks.

Okay, Typhlo and Mag, yes, but it's not 2 Stage 2s. Besides, Mag is the main Pokemon in that deck, not Mag and Typhlo.

Cress and Darkrai are two Basics, which is much better then two Stage 2s.

Empo and Torterra... I just can't seem to see that working very well. 2 Stage 2s, different types... ugh.

Yeah I guess you're right. If I couldn't get it working before, and even experts say it won't work, then I might as well forget about it. I will, however make an empoleon x deck for battle road. Level x's are getting scarier these days. I mean I even have darkrai level x and it scares me just looking at it every time.
