Question about Agility

I use Agility on my Pidgeot and I need to if it goes up by 3.0x or 1.5x twice. Her speed is 218. So would it be 654 or 491.

Neither. The stat would be 436. It's 2x.

Step 1: Choose a random logical number
Step 2: Multiply by .5

Therefore, modifiers must be from step one or the other.

Back on topic, maybe he got used to the ability boosts like Technician and the like

Well, I assumed most thing that increase an stat 1 stage, most of the time, increases by 1.5. So I assumed 2 stages would be 3.0 the original stat. I did not know it doubled it.

I believe the formula looks something like this:
CurrentStat = OriginalStat * (1 + Stage * 0.5);
Meaning the stat maxes out at 4x the original (6th Stage).

1.5x would be a 50% increase over the original stat.
3.0x would be a 200% increase over the original stat.

That would be an awful big jump from stage 1 to 2.
