State or Sr. Prom??

I started playing the Pokémon tcg right about this time last year, and last year's state tournament was my first tournament. I was a complete noob (delta charizard with bunches of energy search! heck yes!)and lost all but one match, but it was still on of the funnest times I had had in quite a while. I vowed that next year I would come back with a good deck and make top cut. FINALLY states is 2 weeks away! OMG i can't wait! I ask my TO when the tourney is, and he says
MAR. 1:eek:
Turns out that's the day of my Sr. Prom:nonono: So now I can't play pokemon, and I have to go to a stupid dance that I don't even want to go to. I'm just kinda disappointed. If only my girlfriend played pokemon...

Oh well. I guess the Louisiana players can have a break, but I'll be back next year:lol:

If it were me, I'd choose States. I skipped my high school prom to go to Origins, and also because I hated most of the graduating class.

Why can't you go to a States on the 8th?

And I really should be doing Algebra stuff instead -_-

I'd go to States. :p I skip stuff to go to tournaments or even prereleases all the time (they're seriously top priority, although assignments/exams do take priority over league). I only went to my year 12 formal because my mum made me, it was boring.

Get your girlfriend to play. Then she'll decide for you.

Prom is overrated. Go to States. I highly doubt you'll look back in the past and care whether or not you went to an overpriced dance with some chick you'll probably have forgotten about.

^ good point
^^^^^^^^^^^^(first post) im gonna assume your not looking to marry the girl, in which case i can almost garuntee you will eventually break up with her. so why pay for some expensive dance and expensive clothes, im sure you spend enough on her already >.>

ARE YOU KIDDING???1!!??/1?!?!?1?!!?!?1?!
If you would ACTUALLY even CONSIDER choosing POKEMON over senior prom, you need to get a life! and I mean an actual life with girls, and frienmds, and tacos. Not a life of video games, cards, and tournements. Dude, its the biggest dance of your life! Thats one of those things you will remember when your old. What do you want to tell your kids???
"Oh, I didn't go to my senior prom, I went to pokemon states."
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE???!!!?!?!/1?!@

Not if you hated the people so much that you wanted them dead. I wouldn't be dancing with those people.

I never got to go to a Sr. Prom...I was Homeschooled. So I got to go to as many pokemon events I wanted without school interfering.

Sr. Prom is definitely the play! Out of all the dances I went to in high school Prom is the only one I really remember. And the memories and the fun day I had was very much worth it. There will always be more OP events, never another Prom that was YOUR prom.

prom hands down. i will always remember mine. i would skip states and go to prom man. besides i am better at playing girls than i am playing pokemon ;)
