Ok I realize now that most of the reason I have a hard time with even a good deck is because I don't know how to use it. Sure I have the main objective and stuff, but I still fling cards around all willy nilly. If I presented my deck, could someone help to make my moves and draws more effective?

:Edit:
Ok I'm just going to present it anyway:

Pokemon

Swampert GE x2
Swampertex
Marshtomp GE x2
Mudkip GE/CG x3
Wailord GE x2
Wailmer GE x2
Mantine MT x2
Mantyke MT x2
Remoraid MT x2
Octillery MT x2
Lapras GE x3

Energy

Double Rainbow Energy x2
Scramble Energy x2
Water x12
Multi Energy x2

Trainers

Glacia's Stadium
Bebe's Search x4
Rare Candy x4
Roseanne's Research x2
Buffer Piece x2
Felicity's Drawing x4
Holon Mentor x2

Ok at the begining of the game I can be put into a corner and have to place energies on things I don't want to, so what would be the best opening move to basically bring out my swampert? Also should saving energies in the hand be something to do if you only have 1 pokemon on the field and you want to save them for something that might be coming?

Since this is an entire decklist, I'm going to move this to the deck help section.

Umm you build decks and find a stratagy to go with it. I belive a lot of people find a stratagy and make a deck that goes with the stratagy. The deck looks like it doesn't really have a stratagy just you move energy around with swampert and attack the bench with octillery. Then when everything is weak I guess you could start cleaning up with swampert. I guess thats what the stratagy is.

Wait that is your question right. If not then can you make your question a bit more clear.

Yeah let me clear that up. I have problems knowing when to attach what with what and I what to send out in a situation. I don't know if that's something you have to find yourself or If you can get help here based on what your deck looks like. Basically the strategy is the objective: Getting swampert in and kill people. I would love to know make it happen more with my deck, but let me know if that's something I have to find on my own. I'm just getting new to really using your deck, making it work, and being a serious battler.

you need more draw cards... a good rule of thumb is at least 10 draw cards....(cards that increase you hand size through the addition of cards ((excluding search cards)))
you right now have...
...4...(felicitys)
not to good. i'd say since you have lapras and a mantine which can both search for pokemon, ans since you have plenty of water energy drop the mentor and a bebe's search. because you can only play 1 supporter per turn and if you have rosannes, mentor and bebe's in hand, with a lapras active, they pretty much cancel each other out
add 3 stevens advice
thats the best i can do with out changing your list...Good Luck

palkia and the X could help here....switch there pokemon then if u have wailord out retreating him for somin else on bench which maybe beefed up by now...srcrew your opposision up using power over and over again!!

Oh in that case I can't really help you with that because thats one of the 2 things seperating me from winning most of the tornoments in my area.

Right now you have no starter? the way you have thedeck now.. I would go for turn 2 wailord, have it sit up there as a tank while setting up untill it gets knocked out or switched. Then after wailord has been sitting up there for 2-5 turns you should have a pretty good set up.. The only problem I see is that you might need a more heavy hitter. Maybe crawduant ex, or somthin else. And absol might be a problem with the little draw power you have.

Well he does play 2-2 mantine to make it 2 retreat, but its still a lot, need warp points and jazz like that. (jazz is a fun word to use)

Well that's the difference between knowing when to and not to use it. I happen to know when it's the right time to use wailord. Plus I believe I have enough draw power now. Especially with the lapras and the fact that I almost decked myself out.

Its hard to explain how to be a strategist, but you need to assume your opponents next move, and make the smartest moves you can. I cant tell you how to be a better player, it takes practice and experience.

As for the deck, I would take out a 2-2 of octiliry for 1 mudkip, and another swampart ex. then 2 more supporters.. cause swampart is your main attacker and I don't see the need for octillary.

No seriously I finally got it now. And no way would I take out octillery. This can be closed now. For now on guys consider that fact that I'm going to be battling people with no strategy. That's why I had such a hard time and lost because I didn't have strategy. Now things will be better. I've battled mew again and It lasted like half an hour so I think I've found the flow of my deck. I know how to use it now.
