What's the best starter for a Gallade/Gardevoir Deck? Pachirisu, Absol, or Stantler.

I have this deck with Absol right now but with pachi out I don't know if he would be better.:confused:
 
I don't play G&G, but I think using Absol for disruption would be better; since your main line is Ralts obviously, that's only 4 Basics you really need to search out total, which is done easily via Roseanne or Mentor. Once you use CFF, Pachirisu is pretty much dead weight unless your opponent starts using Tools. Whereas Absol can still be used for continual disruption at any point in the game.
 
with claydols introduction i think that pachi or stantler are the clear favorites. I personally like stantler more but they both work, or a combination of the two.

Agreed. WHile Furret in itsefl is not the starter, the pokemon that evolves into it (Sentret) is the preferred starter for the deck.. All other just.. fail in the light of it's searching ability.
 
Well, I think it would be interesting to play 4 Pachirisu, and use it to setup a 1-1 or 2-2 line of Porygon2. And I also want to test this with Claydol and Furret.
 
Furret and Pachi are the best IMHO. Both work really well each has different advantages.

Stantler and Absol still work OK, but are clearly a step below the other two.
 
Absol worked just fine for me in Cities, but then again my G&G tech was Weavile and I ran 4 special darks. The hand disruption was great but being able to do 50 points of damage for 1 energy, or even 60 with my charm, won games for me too. I think that too many folks just function on Baleful Wind and ignore the effect that Raid can have. Winning T1 or T2 with Raid is just nasty and still just as possible as it ever was. Additionally Raid was great against Banette and other ghost types.

Yeah, I like Pachi and Furret better NOW that Claydol and some other stuff is out, but Absol was and still is a good card.
 
Mawile's better with like 2 cess crystal. Mining to get it out early if they dont have pachi and stop their set-up early. plus he can grab any trainer, not just a supporter.
 
If I were you I would use Stantler. It worked wonderfully for me and the 2nd attack helps against other starters such as Pachi. Use Stantler.

But by the time you finish wasting energy attachments to Stantler just to Confuse them, they'll probably already be done using Pachirisu.

Except Mawile auto-attaches the Cessation Crystal to itself when it grabs it via Mining. Furret takes a turn to attach the Cessation Crystal. Doesn't stop Furret from being more useful beyond the first two turns though. :/
