So I ordered a bunch of togekiss from ebay that I was relying on to get here in time for the tournament.. but no sign of them so far, and only tomorrow left to go :nonono:

So I'm creating a back up plan, and here it is:

3 gible - 2 gabite - 2 garchomp
2 igglybuff - 2 jigglypuff - 1 wigglytuff
2 smeargle
2 darkrai
2 natu - 2 xatu
2 zigzagoon

= 22

1 Drake's stadium
1 Scott
3 great balls
3 professor elm's training method
3 rare candy
3 night maintenance

= 14 + 22 = 36

6 dark energies
3 water energies
3 lightning energies
3 fire energies
3 fighting energies
3 psychic energies
3 grass energies

= 24 + 36 = 60

So the basic plan: first line of attack, get Wigglytuff and Xatu on my bench, Darkrai as active pokemon. Use Wigglytuff's pokepower to put active pokemon to sleep, use Xatu to remove the condition from Darkrai, and then use Darkrai's attack for 80 damage. Second line of attack, use Smeargle to load up Garchomp and get him blasting for 110 damage. I have zigazoon in there for his ability to pull from discard, as I have found it works well to have him up near the beginning of battle, and then keep pulling a great ball or prof elm training method from discard and setting me up that way.

I like to have a back up plan, therefore two lines of attack, plus I don't have access to enough of either line to make a full deck with them. What do you think?

nice idea but I think that both of your main attackers (Darkrai and Garchomp) may take too long to power up because neither can use scramble to get the maximum damage and in todays game you have to be quick or be able to stall your opponent. I do have some suggestions though if you have the cards.

-2 Natu
-2 Xatu
-2 Smeargle
-2 Zigzagoon

+2 Darkrai lv.X
+3 Sneasel
+3 Weavile SW

Thin down your energy count to about 16 - 18 something like this:
2 Water
2 psychic
2 fighting
1 electric
1 fire
6 dark
4 special dark

be sure to add in Sydney's Stadium, 2 copies, and take out Drake's and add some Rosanne's and Celio's.

This will allow you to have your two plans of attack. Sleep with Wiggly attack for 80 with Darkrai, Sydney's prevents Dark pokemon from sleep. With Weaville you can attach 2 basic dark to Garchomp for the energy acceleration and then attach the type for your opponents weakness. Now in two turns you have Garchomp powered up and ready to go. Moreover with the power of Weavile and Darkrai lv.X your Garchomp will now be hitting by 130, enough to OHKO most any pokemon. Wiggly is also not a bad hitter if it is evolved from Iggly, 60-80 fro two energies (greater than 60 is if you get the dark energy bonus).
Sorry for the length of my suggestion I tried to make it as clear as possible. The Darkrai lv.X is available in tins now if you did not pull any and you could get by with 1 and use premier ball to get it out of our deck or discard. Good luck at your tournament and I hope that you get your togekiss in time so you don't have to go with a deck you have not tested.

Here is the list I have going for my Dark Dragon:

Pokemon: 22
3-2-3 Garchomp
3-3 Weavile (SW)
1-1 Darkrai Lv. X
1-1 Claydol
4 Pachi

Trainers: 22
4 Celio
3 Roseanne's
4 Tv Reporter
2 TGW
1 Steven's
2 Rare Candy
2 Night Maintenance
2 Windstorm
2 Warp Point

Energy: 16
8 Basic Dark
3 Psychic
2 Water
2 Fighting
1 Electric

Pretty close to my actual list maybe like 1 or 2 cards off.

if you're playing darkrai lv x dont play sidneys

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

and definitely don't add pachirisu it's terrible instead of the 4 pachirisu run another 1-1 line of darkrai lv x and also another 1-1 line of claydol

then how do you get your basics in play? Roseanne's can't do it on her own. and she is used more for the energy then the basics.

It is risky running it with 1-1 on both those pokemon, but there is little room in the deck to increase either line.

you get your basics in play with a good trainer set up which from what i see this deck does not have

3 Celio
2 Roseanne's
4 Tv Reporter
2 TGW
3 Rare Candy
2 Windstorm
2 Warp Point
4 quick ball

this trainer set up i can guarantee will be more affective

not more effective then pachi, "You like the way your deck runs, I guarantee it". From the Men's Warehouse commercial.

your running too many variations of pokemon for quick ball to be effective. Try and you will see, as I have already done so.

this is the basic engine i run in most of my decks with of course there are a few differences depending on what the deck is supposed to accomplish

4 master ball
4 quick ball
1 rowan
1 mentor
3 pokenav
4 tv reporter
3 rare candy
3 felicity's drawing
1 night maintenance

this works really well you should try it and see what im talking about

ah, no. Master is bad IMO, too much straight draw not enough search. It depends for every deck, I'm not a noob dude, I think most of my list are pretty good. Thanks for the advice, but it's not needed here.:thumb:
