Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Houston Regionals - April 12, 2008

Now that Regionals is here...Its time to unveil my creation that Beats the current Metagame (Including Rogue).

Clay (aka Me) Winning Regionals FTW? Heck Yea!

Time to rock & roll people. States are over and done with. Let's get this thread a rockin'.

Want more than just the tournament? Heck yeah Mr. Mike

You KNOW you're going to get more than just the tournament.

You KNOW you will get a FUN Pokemon EVENT.

You KNOW you're in GOOD hands when it comes to Team Cook.

You KNOW that if you go 8-0 or 0-8, you're walking out the door with a SMILE on your face.

You KNOW Pablo wants to play.

Time to make the donuts.

I want all 139 of Texas State players at Regionals. That means you too Whicker and the Oklahoma players.

It's time to party boys and girls.

The Woodlands, Texas will be the ONLY place to be in the United States on April 12th.

I just HAD to add this:

Mike KNOWS Clay will be winning this year!

A finger may not stop you...But a hand will; or to be more specific, a seven-card hand!!!

Well, since we're near the home stretch, I'd like to continue what I've been doing: rank top-performing players for each leg of the season.

Battle Road:

#1: Adam Garcia (four wins)
#2: Will Berry (four wins)
#3: meeee (2/2 wins)
#4: Billy Kettler (a win and a ton of great showings)
#5: Clay Carney (one, maybe two wins, and a lot of experimentation-hence the wildcard spot)

Cities:

#1: Adam Garcia (3-4 wins and decent showings throughout)
#2: Clay Carney (3-4 wins and decent showings throughout, bar a couple hiccups)
#3: Jordan Dupuis (three out of four tournies attended he won, but he missed cut once and one of the wins had almost no attendance)
#4: Jorel Ker (3/4 CC wins, but scores his only "decisive" win at Tom Bean, and scored another by making cut with 3-2)
#5: Me (Only one CC win, but extremely consistent showings throughout-when your worst showing is a 4-1 miss, you've got something to celebrate...) [Oh, and throw Billy in here too]

...And without further ado, here is the USA Today top five ranking of Texas/Oklahoma players for state performances!

#1: Meeeeee (14-3 combined record, won Texas, and is only one of two people to top cut both TX and OK)
#2: Dana Lynch (12-3 combined record, went X-0 in Texas swiss, and is only one of two to top cut both TX and OK)
#3: Clay Carney (Mizes Oklahoma, but comes just short of winning. Stumbled a bit in Texas, but not enough to lose him #3; combined 12-4 record)
#4: Vincent Ochoa (Does decently in Oklahoma, does superbly well in TX, grabbing second there and beating Adam G/Billy K in the process; combined 12-4 record)
#5: Will or Adam, with the former doing well with a risky deck choice, and the latter doing superb in the one event he did play in. Both got third at OK and TX, respectively)

Just havin' some fun y'all (that is the correct terminology, right? I do not speak "yokel" very well.)

See you on the boards!
