More info on the site this is being held in ect.

This place is HUGE!! There will be 2 11ft x 8ft screens and a 8ft x 8ft screen hanging from the cieling in which time will be displayed. You will always know how much time is left in the round.

All Hotels listed above are within a mile of the conference center.

There is an indoor water park next to the conference center. For more info on that go to www.splashuniverse.com

The conference center can be seen at http://www.shipshewanatowncenter.com/aboutshipshewanatowncenter.html

All the hotels listed above have been recently built (last 3 years) and all of them are very nice.

Conference Center just opened in January of this year. It is huge and has a concession stand inside the room which will be opened. You can also walk to the Water park which is next to the conference center for Ice Cream or a sit down dinner buffet.

Have a DS? Have Pokemon Diamond and Pearl? Bring it and download Magmortar and Electivire when we activate special codes on the Wii.

After your done with that play in the DS Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Tournament.

...and don't forget your nicely dressed staff in there professional looking blue and red Pokemon Championship series polo shirts.

Plus as always more to come later.... :)

Something to add....

I will also have Magmortar and Electivire available for those who haven't downloaded them yet for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

The only requirements are that you have to have Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl DS Game, recieved your first badge, and beaten Team Galactic north of Jubilife City. This is rather easy to do and most people probably have already done this.

If you don't have the Mystery Gift option opened on your DS Diamond or Pearl game I will open that for you so you can get the Magmortar and Electivire. I am guessing most people do already.

So get Magmortar and Electivire at Regionals, just don't forget your DS and your Diamond and/or Pearl Games!!! Oh and yes if you have both games you can get them on both, but it only allows one per catridge and I will be doing this all day at Regionals.

I'm definitely shooting to be there. I already have that entire weekend requested off work!

Good chance I'll be there. I'm graduating from college on April 27th, so there's a chance something might get in the way, but I'm hoping not.

Additionally, how long until we know more details aboot the DS tournament? Is it 2v2 or 1v1?

Pokemon DS Tournament Information -

The Diamond & Pearl DS Tournament will be 3vs3, LV50all, no duplicate items, single elimination, using Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Nintendo Wii using your Nintendo DS. You will need to bring a team of 6 Pokemon into battle. Using your DS as a controller to the Wii, you will then choose 3 of your 6 Pokemon to use in your match with your opponent. The same 6 Pokemon must be used every match you participate in, but you may switch the 3 Pokemon you pick. Derek & I will be taking care of prizes which will consist of Japanese TCG products, Japanese DS items, and Pokemon Pokeball Plush, and TCG Packs. The number of prizes given out depends on the number of participants. The tournament will take place after all swiss rounds of all age divisions are finished for Indiana States.

Items that are needed to participate:
A Nintendo DS or DS Lite
Pokemon Diamond or Pearl for Nintendo DS
6 legal Pokemon on your Diamond or Pearl game

Here are the rules as far as teams are concerned:

The following Pokemon are not allowed:

Mewtwo
Mew
Wobbuffet
Lugia
Ho-Oh
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Jirachi
Deoxys(All Forms)
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina
Phione
Manaphy
Darkrai
Shaymin
Arceus

The following item is not allowed:

Soul Dew

The following clauses will be enforced:

Sleep Clause - You may not put more than 1 Pokemon to Sleep at a time. Using the move Rest on yourself does not count to this clause. If you use Rest and switch out while the Pokemon is still asleep, your opponent may still put one of your Pokemon to sleep.

No OHKO(One Hit Knock Out) Move Clause - OHKO moves like Horn drill, Fissure, Sheer Cold, etc are not allowed.

No Evasion Move Clause - Evasion moves such as Double Team & Minimize are not allowed.

Self KO Clause - The last Pokemon standing on each team may not use moves such as Explosion, Perish Song, Destiny Bond o Self Destruct. So as long as you have more than one Pokemon left on your team, you may use these attacks.

Any information of 'rate deals'? Who's going with kiddos and where are you staying? I'm trying to make our plans. Splash Universe looks nice but I'm not sure if it will be worth it since the tournament will take entire day. Maybe stay nearby for less as the boys will enjoy an indoor pool almost as much as a huge water park.

Well they called the other day wanting to set up a meeting sometime in May to discuss them. They wrote down the wrong date and thought we were having the tournament in August. Since we are less then 2 weeks away they wouldn't give any discounts since they usually end those 3 weeks before.

The manager that screwed that up no longer works there.......

As far as hotels, if you want a pool avoid the Super 8, and the only pool at Splash universe is the one you have to pay to use (waterpark)

All the inns are really nice, any of them you decide on I think you will enjoy. The farmstead is closer to the venue for Regionals then Country Inn, but both are within a mile or 2.

OK, the duLuards are coming and we are going to stay at the Country Inn and Suites. We are driving up on Friday evening and would love to see lots of Pokemon people at the hotel!

Guess I have a title to defend, and hopefully my bro will win seniors like I did last year.

woo regs! ONLY tourneys I do consistantly well at :(

Have your brother at least get second so that someone defends that tittle I would come try to keep mine but there are currently better points down in NC so I have to go with what I can take.
