Ampharos SW + Fishing Engine?

This seems like a really great Pokémon. If you can get it out fast, your opponent will have to think twice before playing any supporters. Now the bad thing is that Gardi can just Telepass your supporters so I thought that maybe if you used Claydol and the Fishing Engine, running as little Supporters as possible, preferably some that wont help GG that much, this might have a chance. TeCH in 1-0-1 Omastar that you can Fossil Excavator for (one Supporter Gardi will never Telepass). You can also run Holon FF and a few Fire energies to get rid of weakness since you would want to only have 1 lightning energy on Amphy at all times. It would also be possible to run Crystal Beach in such deck.

Thoughts?
 
A pure Fishing Enginge works best with stage 1s IMHO. I've had mixed results with it in games where I've run versions of it with stage 2s. A more consistant approach would be to run a hybred engine ... mostly fishing with a handfull of supporters like Celios. You can play the supporters normally in non-G&G matches and if needed in the G&G match.

Ampharos is a neat card. Ironically I was just testing a deck with it today. I was seeing if I could get Gatr d & Amphy + Amphy d to work with the new GE cards. I tried it before GE and it just wasn't fast or consistant enough. With Claydol and Patchi it seems to work a lot better now but is still a bit slower than I would like.
 
My Pokémon line is like this now:
4-4 Claydol (2 GE, 2 HP)
3-2-3 Ampharos
1-0-1 Omastar

I just played a game against GG and their inability to Telepass really crippled them. I took 4 prizes with Omastar in the end.
 
i like the fossil idea but i don't know if omastar is the right guy. i am seriously looking at armaldo hp or kabutops pk. also, i wouldn't use crystal beach, instead run DREs, an ampharos df and holon legacy stadium to cover your fighting weakness.
