4-4-4 Beedrill
2-2 Claydol

3 Quick Ball
3 Great Ball
3 Dusk Ball
3 Master Ball
4 Rare Candy
3 Crystal Beach
3 TGW
4 Pluspower
3 Castaway
3 Cessation Crystal
3 Night Maintenance

9 Grass Energy

With the Ball engine and whatnot as well as my general bad luck, I think NM will fare far better.

it needs Pachirisu to help get out claydol quick plus lets you swarm faster...

What do you think I'm running the ball engine for? LOL. I don't understand the mentality that Pachrisu belongs in every deck.

Wwwwwwwwwwwoooowwwwwwwwwwwwww

Pachirisu belongs in most decks that run Claydol because Baltoy starts are bad. AND you get 2 Weedle 1 Baltoy from a CFF, which thins your deck and allows you to get closer to your ball engine or the evolutions themselves.

This also loses to Rhyperior lol

EDIT: YOU ARE ALSO RUNNING CESSATION CRYSTAL IN A DECK WITH CLAYDOL IN IT. THAT IS BEYOND N00BISH.

ya, pach would help as well, also tsd helps if you only have one beedrill left and your others are dead, believe me, if you can get one run it

I ran a deck similiar, but I ran a 4-2-4 beedril because you dont want to get the stage 2's of off quick ball, duskball , etc.. all the time, and I ran 4 absol and a 2-2 claydol.. The deck was very affectice and did well against everything beside bannete and mag..

True, but Pachi is clutter anywhere after turn one. No matter what basic I have I have a setup with the ball engine. I'd rather not bother with Pachi but I appreciate the idea.

Rhyperior??? I should care... why? Who uses Rhyperior? This is not intended to be an event deck, anyway.

Beedrills have free retreat and Cess Crystals will tactically shut down opponent's powers when they need to. Free retreat a Beedrill with Cess when needing Claydol. All it requires is a little timing. Try thinking before you call something "beyond noobish."

*cough* i do >.< lol

anyways.
is there a reason why you have 4 kakuna AND 4 candy? i dont think the 4 kakuna are necessary if you are gonna be candying them. maybeh cut down to 3?

Regardless, unless I missed a headline, Rhyperior is unheard of in general play.

It's a just in case. Prizing multiple pieces of the lines is perilous.

2 Kakuna

4 Quick Ball
3 Great Ball
2 Master Ball
2 Dusk Ball
3 Pokdex
3 Pokenav

that line thins the best with your other trainers.Pachi isnt bad since u will be able to OHKO stuff with 1 charm or 1 PP,so Pachi isnt bad.

I think THAT is a little overkill and wouldn't fit anyway. 3 Kakuna is a slight possibility, but 2 is a no in my mind. I need the consistency, because as I said, prizing multiple pieces of the line will throw the whole deck off.

Good luck "tactically shutting down opponent's powers" when some important powers in the format really only need to be used once to break a game (Togekiss, Ho-Oh, Gardy/X).

And I did think before I said that. I think this deck is noobish already (come on, K-Tune with a Stage 2?), so a semi-working Cess thrown on top of it puts it "beyond n00bish."

I know it's a little n00bish of a suggestion, but what about Hermit? I chose not to play this deck because of prizing issues, I see Hermit as the only way out of terrible prizes (plus it really saddens GG players when it is your only Supporter in the discard, lol)

Wager is a little dangerous against GG- You play one/ have it discarded from Absol and then they just Psylock you and you have no draw to build up a bigger hand and pump out more Beedrill.

As if those account for all the powers being used right now? Gardy, Claydol, Delcatty, Typhlosion, etc. the list goes on and on. An ignorant statement on your part. Tactically refers to simply having to do nothing more than retreat for free a Beedrill with Cess attached if I need to use Claydol late game (a rarity, anyway) since I'm just going to bring out another Beedrill. It's not hard to do, sir. It's easy and it's common sense to anyone who has the slightest capacity for knowledge and strategy.

I find it funny that people post "noobish" decks here everyday that are meant to be serious and are spoken positively about, yet I post a fun deck here not meant for event play (as I've already stated) and people are flaming. The sad thing is many of the flames so far have been guided by fallacies and misdirection. The game has recently become determined by who can copy the best deck rather than who can come up with a creative concept like it used to be, and it seems to have taken an effect on a lot of people. Remember that it's all about creativity, folks.

Semi-working? LOL. I've nothing to say to such an ignorant comment.

Come on, people. Keep it civil and cool.

OK. Look. Out of my experience with this deck the Cess and Claydol interaction is just not as simple as you would think. With your Cess list, you are trying to achieve 2 things:

1) Set up 2-4 Beedrills ASAP.
2) Lock down powers ASAP so the game is slow enough to where even if parts of your Drill line are prized, 60-90 damage will still be relevant.

Inherently there is a problem with this, because Claydol plays a big role in the first goal, but directly conflicts with the second goal.

I understand the fact that there is *gasp* strategy involved with using Cess. Not a big surprise. The only problem is that most of the time you usually want to use Cess so that the opponent doesn't get set up (Gardy, Delcatty, Typhlosion, Togekiss (which is relevant in the metagame btw)). That implies having Cess in the first 2 turns. Your list the way it is is designed to get that Cess in the first 3 turns. You also want to have at least 2 Beedrills up in those first 3 turns, and the fastest way for that to happen is to cycle through your ball engine with Claydol.

And besides, this deck is a FAST DECK. You want to win it as soon as possible, and if you can't, you'll probably lose just as fast, especially considering GG's donk starts. So I have no idea why you'll need Claydol to draw cards in your so-called "late game" because there usually won't be a late game with this deck. Barring really weird games where you happen to take a couple prizes and fall behind, then use a couple NM to try and draw back into some of your Drills, you probably won't be able to set them back up fast enough for it to be relevant because most of your RCs will have been used already.

And regarding your "state of the 'Gym"...

I love how people are so willing to throw around ad hominem and sweeping generalization posts like calling people "ignorant." I am not claiming to be innocent of this, but it is definitely a problem that I think is taking over the board. I love how you immediately started to attack my integrity and values as a player and a person by ignoring the thought behind what I said just so you could defend your logic about a poor card choice. And even after I defended my poor choice of statement with some quite logical reasoning, you further raised your level of nastiness by telling me I have a lowered capacity for knowledge and strategy. Despite the fact that I am a college student on a scholarship. Despite the fact that I have been a Professor in this game for a couple years. Despite the fact that I have seen a deck very similar to this build in action. But you wouldn't be bothered to look any of that stuff up, would you? Seems a little "ignorant," don't you think?

I hope that's "civil and cool" enough for you :thumb:

It all depends on how it plays out, that's the idea. I'm not always gonna need the Cess or be able to use it to my advantage, but it fits. Hey, this is Pokemon. Most games are won more based on luck than who does better in an intense battle. Nothing is ever going to always go right. But this fits well enough to get me out of a LOT of important situations at various times.

Trust me, ad hominem attacks are not my style. I don't believe mine was one. I will always explain myself and attempt to back up what I say rather than throw meaningless slurs and name-calls around. I just didn't appreciate the seemingly bold and egotistical nature of your original post. That's just the way I perceived it. I apologize if I misunderstood it. As far as the scholarship thing, while I respect that and you are probably a very intelligent fellow, just know that that are plenty of "college students with scholarships" and graduates as well that are some pretty flat-out stupid people. Just sayin'. While I appreciate and respect your credentials, credentials don't automatically win you arguments and make you right all the time. Again, just sayin'.
