Wouldnt another Tournament, then the Worlds, be nice?...

Hi,
First of all, I didn't know if this is the write place to ask that, if not, just move it...

Well, I thought, that it was nice, if there was another Tournament then the World championship... like Tropical Mega Battle or so...
Sure, Worlds must exist for ever.. but one year, they could also make a special Tournament...
The reason, that i'd find this nice is, that they'd make other Trophy cards, for this Tournament... At Worlds, there are always the same Trophy cards, just with another logo.

They could make a Pikachu Trophy card, with Pikachu on the card, that wears a T-shirt, and on the T-shirt it stands: 1st Place/2nd Place or 3rd Place.

thats what i mean, because i hate it, that there are always the same trophy cards at Worlds (even if they are nice)

At Battle Roads in Japan, there are two Trophy card for 2 years. (one for Spring and one for Summer only) and thats nice...

Whats your opinion about my idea?

I would add top cut promos for any Premier Event for any player that remains in the single elimination rounds.

This would be almost no extra costs for PUI and give something special for the 3rd at a CC or the 7th at a States that not everyone can buy in stores, and add more cards for trade. They would not be that rare, but it would be a welcome extra to many players.


Another suggestion is to introduce Continental Championships.
Many European players haven't got the money for a trip to the Worlds, even if they got their invite.
A great competitive event more people can reach would also fill the big gap (~3 months in most non-american countries) between Nationals and Worlds or the next season. It also could be another chance to win invite & trip to the Worlds.

Of course a return of Gym Challenge would be great, too.
 
Gyms and Stadiums is just semantics, they're now Regionals and BRs. Is there a difference? No.
Lower attendance in BRs is due to the lowered prizes, if you're asking for a GC without a Worlds' invite/trip, you're asking for a BR...
 
i wouldnt mind having something like the 04-05 season. i liked gym challenges. i also wouldnt mind if they got rid of cities and BRs and used that extra dough to pump up the other events.

a pikachu that wears a t-shirt would look interesting. all of my pokemon are naked.

well, yes.... that would be good for collectors like me... but for players, it would be nice to have another big event, like the TMB or so... and I'm not a player even if i'd dream, to win Worlds :D it'd take too long to be good, and have a good deck.. i think...

yeah, all my Pokes are naked too... and a Pikachu with T-shirt would be perfect for a Trophy card:cool:

I also think, that even more guys would like to win Worlds, if there were not always the same Pikachu Trophy cards...
 
We need more events at any rate in the summer. Here in Holland, its Nats May 31, and then wait all the way to October before we get serious tournaments again. So why can't there be a summer tour or so?
 
well.... a Pikachu in a diaper... wouldnt look very nice i think :D

I just think, that for every player (and perhaps collector) it would be nice to have another big event once... everybody would be very excited..
 
I don't get it. Nationals isn't enough. All the best players from around the nation getting together to see who is the best in the nation...isn't a good tournament before Worlds?

Explain to me how they could hold anything after Nationals (before Worlds) and it wouldn't just make Nationals look like a lower-level tournament.
 
I think that the way they've got it right now is just fine. It'd be NICE to have something like that, but to be perfectly honest, why have to worry about an event BEFORE worlds when you can harness the large gap between Nationals and Worlds for practice time? Plus, there's the matter of rankings, or even who might play (if it would be a TMB of course). While it'd be cool, I'd rather have more time trying to prepare for the Grande event, that being Worlds, then have to devote time to practice for two things.
 
I don't think the prize should be an invite to worlds, but what if PUI hosted tournamnets that had large money or product prizes or something but did not affect rankings.

People would go to try and win the prizes and not worry about ranks.
 
Well, perhaps another big event would really be too much... Im not a player.. so i didnt think about it...

But, I'll keep saying, that other Trophy cards would be good... DONT YOU THINK SO? :D
