Has anyone ever thought to have one good friend, only for them to backstab you later on? Basiclally, I have been backstabbed many times in the past because I was being used without realizing it until later on. See, I don't get why they think backstabbing others proves something, because there isn't anything to prove other than being a jerk. I have had "friends" who only called me for info, then hang up, and when they get everything they need, they start talking about me behind my back. IMO, it's stupid. If someone has anything to say to me, they should say it to my face, because it makes them look afraid. It has happened many times in the past by many people. It sickens me that there are people who do worse to backstab someone.

Discuss your opinions on backstabbers.
 
Absolutely. I have been backstabbed too many times to count because when I see someone who needs me, I help all I can. Just recently I had a girl whom I met thru playing Yu-Gi-Oh years ago and she was going thru a rough time with her cheating boyfriend. We became best friends when I helped her take her car to be reposessed because of her boyfriend. Later, I helped her pay her half of the rent to her boyfriend so they would not be evicted, which was a loan to be repaid, but never was. Then later, he lost their apartment home because he did not pay rent and she wound up moving in with me, rent-free, because she lost her job. Now, all she did was sit around on her butt, surfing the web and watching MTV all day while I worked hard and hardly ever helped. Oh, did I mention because she had no job, she couldn't pay for her cell phone or her probation costs? I paid for those as loans. Then, guess what, she went back to her deadbeat boyfriend after breaking up with him for the thousandth time and moved out on bad terms with me.

FastForward ahead 6 months. I met my current fiance and she knew I was still in touch with the former rooommate/best friend. The former roommate was going thru a rough time and realized she made a huge mistake by moving out. All of her friends and most of her family told her she needed to talk to me. Well, she did and I laid down some new rules and my fiance offered her to move back in. So, she did. Then went right back to her old ways and moved out once again. Guess how many true best friends she has now? NONE.

I agree about if you have something to say, say it to your face. I have never said anything behind someone's back that they haven't already heard me tell them to their face.

So, yes, I think we have all been stabbed in the back at some point by someone who claims to be a friend or a best friend. My advice to you, move on. You do not need, or want, or deserve a "friend" like that bringing you down.

Peter this is why you have your REAL friends on Team Rocket.
Anyone else is subject to back stab you (believe me I know).

There are people who you can trust and do care about you. These people are annoyingly hard to come by; the world itself is very apathetic. People only care about themselves and their gain. I try to be nice to other people and put myself in their shoes and be there for other people when they need it. Compassion in general is very important, this would make living much easier.

I have a fear of being left alone/abandoned. Being that this seems to happen to me quite a lot (first time it happened I was 2 days old).

Playing Pokémon you will find back stabbers and people who don't think before they do something or open their mouths and sometimes they don't realize they are hurting a friend; sometimes they DO it on purpose for their pathetic power reasons ( I know all about this).


One of the worst case of back stabbers I ever had was a friend who decided not to be my friend anymore after 6 years of friendship (just because I wasn't in the "popular crowd"). She explained this to me that being friends with me was a hindrance with the "in crown", I understood, but felt betrayed . 2 years later she wanted to be friends again, because her parents were getting a divorce and she had no one to talk to anymore because she lost all of her cool clothing/ status items.

Backstabbing seems to be terribly common in the Pokemon community. When certain people try and use others to do their backstabbing dirty work.....*sigh* Our team is very tight knit, and when people like that come along...the group bands together.

Whoa, that sounds a bit "cult"-ish.

I'm not a member of TR, but I wouldn't stab Peter in the back.

We even have our own religion "Rocketology"

I am sure I have friends who wouldn't back stab me who are not on Team Rocket. Team Cook Mom has always helped me :) she's cool.

Team Rocket though we are like family. :smile:
Plus Peter knows I <3 him.

My second best friend that I met in first grade. We played pokemon and a lot of stuff the past 6 or 7 years. The unfortunenate thing is that he decided to go with the a***i*e group that listen to metal rock and play video games that have the exploded graphics that you can't see very well. The last laugh is on him he is not in the ARMY OF NERDS (It's a group that other friends made up at school)

uhh how does that put the last laugh on him? i highly doubt he would want to be associated with a group that calls themselves an army of nerds
 
i know all to well of backstabbing.
i wont go into much detail, but for a fair sum of time they were some of my very closest friends.
then like 3 or 4 friends of mine just decided that they didnt want to hang out with me and my 6-10 other good friends and started talking a bunch o' smack on us and what not.
theyre chumps.
 
I know all too well about backstabbers. Most of my friends were cool with me until high school. Almost all of them left me, don't feel like getting into detail.
 
I am bestfriends with one.
I help him because without me he ends up breaking it or messing something up.
That and I like his sister alot and I am sorta over there 3days and 2 nights aweek playing Halo....
He treats me like dirt then rembers he needs somethign from me and says srry to get it....
(Plus he has high speed internet)
