Well, your all probably thinking: Why Shiftry EX? The answer is that I hate how the PK Shiftry EX was over-looked. The CG one might be better, but the PK one is needed here. Both of his attacks can be useful in this deck. His first attack, Skill Hack, for one dark energy, allows you to look at your opponent's hand and choose a basic pokemon or evolution card you find there, and use an attack out of that pokemon. The best part is, you don't need the necessary energy to use the attack. His second attack can be just as good. Dirge, the name of his second attack, does 60 Damage to the defending pokemon, which is average. The effect of the attack, however, allows you to do 60 Damage to any of your opponent's benched pokemon that have the same name as the defending pokemon. The only 3 downsides to this however, are that he is weak to grass, which isn't a problem, and fighting, which could become a problem. His resistance, however, is Psychic. So it balances out. The other downside is that you can't attach a DRE to him, which is why there is dark energy in this deck. The final downside is that he gets OHKO'd by Gallade, and your Opponent takes 2 Prize cards, which isn't good at all.

I want everyone's opinion on whether i should use it or not, but i probably am going to use it.
I also want varied opinions on my trainer choices

Well, my final Deck Post before regionals. It works like any other G&G deck.

First, start out with 2 Ralts on bench and 1 Sentret. Get out Gallade T2, and setup bench from there. I'm playing more Gardy than Gallade for mirror match-ups. Playign one Gardy RS (PK same thing), for Psy Shadow. Duskinoir for shutting down your opponent's bench. Claydol for draw power. Furret for Broken drawing. TGW to screw up your opponent.

I have 2 Issues.
#1-Whether or not deciding to play another tech, such as Ampharos SW. I liek its ability, and its even good enough to attack.

#2-Needs More Draw Power. I nned help with that.

Questions? Comments? Concerns?
POST EM' HERE.

what's LB???

and I think that quick balls are better replaced by celios in this situation (you have too many pokemon for quick ball to be very good...)

WOW i am surprised how similiar this deck is to mine. click it in my sig. and see what i mean. proffesor rowan OR proffessor oaks research are great cards in this deck. if the opponent is purposely decking you out, you use one to shuffle your hand into your deck and draw 4 or 5 cards. with rowan, you also get to keep a card from your hand. id do:

-1 TGW
-1 PlusPower
-1 Lake Boundary (since all your cards are weak to one type :)psychic:), this could only play a disadvantage to you)
-2 Quick Ball (not reliable)
-1 Sentret (2-2 is good for your quick draw deck)

+2 Prof. Rowan OR Prof. Oak's Research (your choice)
+3 Fighting Energy (you cant search or rely to find a DRE, plus, what if claydol is your only pokemon by chance?)
+1 Proffesor Oak's Research (just good to use then have in discard for kirlias attack, helps for DRE quick)

I would also suggest using 2 gallades and 3 gardevoirs, as opposed to 3 gallade and 2 gardevoir. gardevoir X is the strategy, gallade is the power-hitter.

Lake Boundary.
And the quick balls are basically for drawing pokemon. I don't care if it works good or not. as long as i draw a pokemon, i'm happy.

LB is lake boundary.

obviously this person doesnt have celio, or they would be using it instead of bebe.

the only problem with quick ball is that you cant choose. if you really are tied to it, i would use master ball or dusk ball instead.

...don't assume anything, that's one of my rules! (bebe beats celio in some situations...)

thx for answering the question...

I am playing 3 Gardevoir.
Fighting can be worked out by DRE.
I like the Rowan, maybe i'll use him, but it is unlikely.
Oh, and i'm keeping the TGW.

hah, but see the only reason i run fighting is because you cant search for DRE with a standard supporter on lets say your first turn, before furret comes into the picture.
Rowan is for decking out, and if you just have a bad hand.

REGIONALS IS TOMORROW!

Anyone?
I need someone's opinion on this before regionals.

Problem with Shiftry EX PK is that you need to have some kind of control or insight for your opponent, so it doesn't work too well alone. It could be your answer to Banette, though. Use Basic Dark instead of Special dark, as they are searchable - if you play just 2, you will never draw them when you need to.

I've wanted to play Shiftry EX PK with:
- Milotic d (Check your opponent's hand for evolution pokémon)
- Luxray (Drag in a basic from your opponent's hand and Dirge away)
- Crawdaunt EX (Send your opponent's evolution back to his hand and Skill hack)

but I'm not too sure if it works alone... As Banny counter it might be your saving grace, though (OHKO active Banette and do 60 to others, or Skill Hack Ghost head for massive damage). Banette will need 3 shots to take it out, so giving up 2 prizes shouldn't be a big deal against that deck.

If you have good judgement of your opponent, it's nice idea to counter your weakness, and certainly something new, so go ahead and have fun with it!
