Torterra MD hot or not?

Bad. I would sooner use Torterra DP. He deals 60 damage and HEALS, and if you really need a 100 damage attack, he can level up.
 
Empoleon looks good, but considering we are getting Leafeon next set, I'm thinking water might be better left alone for now.
 
Torterra MD is awesome!! U could boost 4 second attack if needed. U do 60 and snipe 2 set up frenzy plant. The hp is nothing 2 laugh at either. If u wanna reduce damage play leftovers or tropius. The snipe attack 4 torterra also sets up the lv. X 4 KO's. I'm just sayin it has underdog potential.
 
Hm... this Torterra is another Pokémon to be played with Sceptile GE, but unfortunally, Magmortar is still around to keep all these grass decks away from big tournaments.

And even if we ignore the fire weakness for a moment, Empoleon and Infernape are still much more playable.
 
Torterra is better left alone for now since Fire decks are really popular these days, and makes your 140 HP not much.

Cons:
Flaming monkey with 2 fire energy and 2 plus power can OHKO it :frown:
No more built in Potions :mad:
Instead of healing the bench it tries to kill em! :eek:
So you want to do 60 to their active and up to 50 to your own bench!? :eek:



:nonono: This dude is worse than the DP one. But I can't wait to see new decks with him :biggrin:
 
If you could find a stage 1 with some quick damage that can keep the aggro up while Tort attacks for 60 for only two colorless, You'd have a pretty devastating deck with two attackers that can deal 60/70 a turn.

Think about it. Run Torterra MD, Mothim from MT, and Sunflora from GE.

Torterra can start you up and deal some early damage, hurting your own bench, which in turn activates Mothim's attack. Sunflora can keep the damage down with its power, and since people don't run much of Cess Crystal at the moment, its pretty safe. You can also keep it safe with the Mothim MD (Revealed as Prerelease promo) with his variety.

You can keep this up until you desire to move to Frenzy Plant or even a LX. If you think about how it can flow with other cards and not just on its own, he is more efficient than you might think.
