Call Energy
Special Energy

Provides :colorless Energy.

The effect written below can be used once during your turn, if the Pokemon this card is attached to is your Active Pokemon. Using this effect ends your turn. Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Pokemon and put them on your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Just realized this card will be in our Majestic Dawn and that it is not that bad of a card. So I wrote this article about Rotom MD(DX Entry Pack).

THE ATTACKS:
Dual Trans: Obviously good for attaching energy from the discard pile to your big hitter.
Ene-Reflection:Only good in lightning decks. If you do have a lightning deck then you can choose to use it as a last resort for dying, but it'd be smarter to stick with Dual Trans.

THE RETREAT COST:
1 retreat Cost isn't too bad considering you won't really need that Call Energy for too long.

THE WEAKNESS:
Weakness to dark is not bad at all. The only threat is a Darkrai which is not commonly played.

THE RESISTANCE:
Only good to protect you when :colorless starters go bad

How Many to Play:
About 3-4 for accurate starts.
What to Use With:
Call Energy, Lunatone/Felcity's Drawing/Any Card That Can Discard Energy
How to Use:
T1:Drop down a call energy on Rotom and use Call Energy's Effect to bring up 2 Lunatone/basics that evolve into big hitters.
T2:Discard 2 energy cards from your hand with Lunatone/Felcity's and make sure you have a good pokemon that can deal damage when it's up. Use Rotom's Dual Trans to attach the discarded energy to your benched big hitter.
TX:Do it over and over again until it gets knocked out!

It's nice, but having 2 Lunatone, and the possible Rotom on your bench, means 2-3 bench space, that you really need. Dusknoir is getting very popular, and if you do what you just said, you will lose badly against a deck with Dusknoir. I read everything, although I could be missing something, how would you get around that problem? What kind of start would you have with a Lunatone? You're saying that you need 2 on the bench, and you would run 3, unless you are not afraid of one being prized, because it in a key factor is your setup.

There's always Felcity's!

Okay, well I hoped I helped you. If Dusknoir isn't big in your area, I would play Lunatone. I know there's Felcity's, but Lunatone is easier. I also wanted people to know, if they played this, what to watch out for.

I was considering playing 1 with the new Infernape to come up, attach energies, sacrafice, activate a scramble, and then deal 200 damage

*Shrug sholders*.

If you're going to use call energy and a starter pokémon, then PHIONE takes the biscuit. And Phione is confirmed in DP: Majestic Dawn, while Rotom is speculative. And I'm no huge Phione fan, so really I don't like Rotom at all. better late game when you can get the energies BACK after pokémon KOed/used to retreat for energy spam attacks.

He's an ideal sack pokemon-something you send up to die.

Well, I'll send it up, attach 2, and when they kill it they've gained a prize but I've gotten +2 energy and maybe scramble activation.

That Rotom is excellent. When I first saw that card, I was actually in disbelief, considering the Rotom that was released in GE (>.<) Interesting article!

you've made me see something good about rotom, but then your argument was why i wouldn't play it, the second attack is adressed first why? its rubbish!

read its first attack, thats where its at

Thanks for the positive comments about my FIRST article.

My only critique is the yellow is hard to see and the white would be hard to see in a white background frame. Other than than you got some thoughtful comments on the article, too.

Yah, trying to use him as a starter might be a bit difficult unless it REALLY fits the deck; sorry if that's stating the obvious. Which Pokémon "takes the biscuit" really depends on the setting provided by the deck (thanks MU, I love an unusual turn of phrase and we don't hear that much in American English).

I see it more being used like the Plusle/Minun... something to get something after a KO... and like Ryan says, activate the Scramble to boot.

Sounds like a pretty amazing mid game comback card. With out ex prizes this card can easily find its place on your bench.

With that said, this card seems more like a tech for resourse conservation. I don't see this particular card doing so well as a starter.

Something to add onto my list of Skittles techs... I like the little bugger. I wish ene-reflection was as many energies as you like, though. That would make it GOLDEN.
