Ok, so this is by far the wieredest way they could have handeled the series IMO.
It's so screwed up for them to not pick up where it left off at the end of the first season.

Thoughts?

KK, sorry about that.
I tried not to say anything in the first post, incase somebody hadn't watched it :D

So yeah, it's not that bad once you see episdoe 2 :D

Ah!
I have only seen the first ep!
SPOILERS!
BTW how good is this anime?
From what I have seen so far I get the death note meets gundam feeling.

Oh, your watching it on cartoon network... yeah well, sorry.
Anyway, it is amazing! It's like in my top 3/4 anime's ever.

And yeah it basically is death note and gundam put together.

But more brilliant than Gundam EVER was!!!

I just saw episode 24-25. FREAKING BRILLIANT!!!! In a series adorned with such amazing thoughts, there was absolutely no better way to end it than what happened. I don't care if it didn't really end. That's the point. There's an entire backstory that was never explored, and there's an entire future that will never be discovered. The brilliance of this anime is that it starts in the middle of the story, and doesn't finish at the end. Life will continue as it always has, so there can be no beginning and there can be no end.

Hopefully, R2 can just enhance this experience. AMAZING ANIME!!!!!

Nope friend at the League gave me Ep.1 Subbed

I'm still hoping Suzaku dies

Not me. I'm hoping that both come out of that with similar wounds, probably an arm and a leg. It's well documented that Lelouch is a TERRIBLE shot, and Suzaku is WAY beyond nervous.

Yeah Suzaku was like shaking liek this ~~~~~{{{}{}{[]{{][[llll]]]][[[lll~~~[]~{].
And Lulu is like only brain smart.

Togetic; Yeah, I too want Suzaku to die a horrible death. He's got the wrong view of justice.

So i wiki'd this and i still dont get something. What exactly is the "power of the Geass"?

Well, these people/alien/witch things gave the geass to humans. And it's like a little V in your eyes. Apparently it can be turned on/off, or it can be stuck in on mode.
It's like the power of mind control. You can force someone to do something against their will (including Suicide, Homicide, givng you their giant robot, ect...). If you order them to do it, they will.

But it's been documented that the Geass has a different power depending on who has it. Lelouch's Geass has the ability to control minds, but only once. Initially, he could turn it on and off at will. Towards the end, it became always on. Mao's Geass allowed him to read people's minds, but it was always on.

Spoiler:

Rolo's can freeze the people around him, and the emperor can alter one's memories. None of them are in perma-geass though

Geass has different sets of rules for each person. Mao's has a 500 meter radius while Lelouch's has a 270 meter radius, for example.

Omitted. Also, your spoiler color is still somewhat readable.

Radius is probably the wrong word for Lelouch's considering he has to make eye contact.

Just saw the second episode, and I see I'm not the only one who thinks Gundam and Death Note collided. Even though the name rings a bell, I had never heard of this anime before. And I must say it looks like an amazing series. It appears not just on this board that many people have compared it to Death Note. Like a ton of anime, it so happens that boy gets power, boy uses power to rule. Only difference is that Lelouche is fighting for his sister or so I understand from discussions between people who have actually seen the series. Light on the other hand, has a life thats only boring at best, and so he decided to rescue this "rotting" world, and rule it with his power. Thats the only difference between these anime(not counting the giant robots), and besides that, they're pretty alike.

Does Light have the ability to command an army of thousands? Lelouch, as Zero, commanded an army that size towards the end of season 1.

I *LOVE* this series. The more I watch, the more I'm amazed at how BRILLIANT this thing is! Yep, gotten through episode 4 of R2, and I'm just DYING to see how Suzaku fits into this entire thing...
