Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Best Deck National

Hmm. These, you say, are the things that won nationals? Untresting, but i would say that there would be a Gallade or Gardy in that list.

It's the deck that Jimmy Ballard created some time ago and it is not that good imho since it
loses against rogues and it relies on its master ball and dusk ball engine to get it's pokemon and yeah it's been tested in other countries it really is just a pile of crap that loses to rogues and thats why I don't count it as an archetype since this year almost none of the rogue deck's have won only GG/Pl0x or Magmortar (sry Ballard only my opinion)

T2 Banette:I think this is going to die because everyone is playing LunaRock or Plusle and minun with it
Plox:I think Plox MIGHT come around. I haven't seen any recentlaly, but they will become more popular with all of the new power depending decks coming
Magmortar:This deck will become extinct when Empoleon and Glaceon come out. They were made to destroy Mag
Arithmetic:I think Arithmetic just won't see play. Masters of the deck need to play it to be even remotely good. Other than that, it's just bad(no offense Jimmy, your other decks rock!)

this hasn't been moved yet?

i strongly disagree with almost every prediction i've seen on this thread and almost evvery statement made in general

i'd have to say mag will not die

eeve will see some play

gardy will still be good and good players will still play it but there are newer shinier decks to catch the attention of many of the followers that played gardy

as far as rogues go, the same rogue decks won't work because the format will be MUCH different so people that are capable of coming up with their own ideas will have come up with different ones, it's much too early to predict what type of rogue decks will be successful though

This is my prediction for the best 10 decks in the format come Nats, in no particular order:

1. Plox
2. Banette
3. Arithmetic
4. Empoleon MD
5. Eevees (several variants)
6. Garchomp
7. Skittles
8. Fossils
9. Mag
10. RockBand

All of them are capable of winning in the right hands. And this is compared to how many decks before Regionals? 2, maybe 3?

When posting in the Deck help forum, please follow the rules to that forum. I've moved this here as this better suits the topic.

I'd say that the vast majority of players are going to play with the new cards, in the form of red face paint decks. (some being the noob's theme decks, if that counts) There are so many new possible decks that the meta game will be unpredictable, except for the oldy but goodys, mag, bliss, plox, rock band, etc.

Right now I see the big three being GG/Plox, Chomp Lv.X, and Glaceon Lv.X after the release of MD. Mag will die because of Glaceon(kills powers and has type advantage).

Nice Argument for Mag. But the thing is, and i support that it will not die, it can deal out to much damage. Not that that is a bad ting or anything, people will play this, young or old, becuase of how straight forward it is to play, and how much damage the Mag (SW to name one) can do. It is almost scary to see a Mag. LV X in play, even if you are a watter deck.

Mag. wont die out becuase of its amazing power, that becuase of how easy it is to play and how easy it is to make variants (Typho/Blazican),it will not die out. Nuts, though a lot of people want it to die out!

It's all about what the best players are gona play... If there will be all best 12 Players with deck like Wailord or Houndoom there is a possibility that something like that willn win...

- T2 Banette
- Plox
- Magmortar variant
- Arithmatic

Second you what is better?

Of the four decks from that list...

T2 Banette: This deck probably will see some play just because of the MASS popular of Plox and other Gardy variants. Given that, it could actually hold up as a decent choice, since Magmortar seems to be dying off in any popularity it may have actually had.
Plox: Too many people have played it for it NOT to show up at Nationals. It's an excellent deck though, for it has the ability to disrupt the opponent like that of Medicham long ago, and it's got Gallade/the Lv. X on its side to finish anything that might pose a threat. This seems like an excellent play.
Magmortar: Magmortar is still a good deck IMO. It's got the comeback ability via Scramble, and Magmortar not only has the ability to spread damage, but also take out anything via the Lv. X. As well, Blaziken is there to assist with either taking things out via sniping, or using the first attack as a sort of stall. The bad part is, Plox seems to be able to beat this thing without much difficulty, simply because of its speed.
Arithmatic: I would say this could be a good play for Nationals, however, with Majestic Dawn coming out, this deck most likely won't hold up to contend with anything FROM the set. The deck was built to counter Magmortar and GG/Plox, so to have other options now come into the format lowers the chances of this deck doing as well as it could.

I think rogue because theres a new set coming out. Maybe we should have this discussion after BRs. But my guess is empoleon and fossils.

To soon to tell. If we had a definite card list then It'd be easier to venture a guess. Right now the format for is way to varied to pin it down to a set list, and two we have a new set being released in like 2 weeks that will really change things up. Personally I'm looking for fossils to be a real pain, along with Leafeon/Sceptile, and probably some infernape and glaceon mixed in there somewhere.
