OK, a completely RANDOM question, I know.

I thought I remembered seeing several years ago a card that was called a "Single Colorless Energy" from a very early Japanese Set.

It was not released in english.

It may have been from the base set, a theme deck, or somewhere else, but I cannot find it, or any reference to it.

Anyone know what I am talking about???

Not heal, or other energies that provide other goodies with the one colorless energy, but an energy whose only purpose was to provide one colorless energy.

I understand what kind of energy your talking about, but yet I have never heard of it. Sounds interesting though.
 
I've seen one of those. Rather useless card, if you ask me...

On a somewhat related note, I have a Japanese Base Set DCE that's not marked as a Special Energy card...
 
I want one :D

Always wished there was a card like this, however useless. Basic colorless energy. Love it.

Closest thing is React Energy which has no effect of it's own, just the name.

I know I heard of it (perhaps in a dream 'pop :wink:)...

Where did you see it/hear of it??

Perhaps between our two hallucinations we will come to some form of reality!

It was a long while ago, so I'm not entirely positive... I THINK it was in a picture translation guide way way way way way back when...

But yeah, I've totally seen one somewhere. Unless we're both on the same kind of drugs. :p

in base set japan (or there base set starter deck) there WAS a "single colorless nrg" back before "special" nrg cards (back in the days of DCE)

so yes, for a time colorless had a basic nrg card.

:lol:If it ever WAS printed, it would go down as the most meaningless card in Pokemon TCG history.:tongue:

Other "never-printed" cards that would be meaningless:

- Trainer: "Blonde" Ball - If your bench is not full, play a basic Pokemon from your hand to your bench.
- Tool: "Doh!" - You may apply in-between turn effects in any order you choose."
- Stadium: "Stall Tech" - Either player may look at the cards in either player's discard pile.
- Supporter: "Stall Tech 2" - Shuffle your discard pile.

Or my Favorite:

- Trainer: "Aqua Search" - Search your deck for a basic Water energy card and put it into your hand.

Once during your turn, before you attack, you may end your turn.

Yeah, stuff like that. Though single colorless energy would be useful for Garchomp mirror, it doesn't seem useful otherwise.

Joe: I don't know. I think I'd need to see that. I have gotten some Japanese Base Set starter decks and never seen anything like that!
 
If there was a basic colorless energy, couldn't you Dark Engage your Porygon Z then change it back to colorless?
 
I've opened an entire box of Japanes Base "decks" and have never seen a :colorless energy. Seen :colorless :colorless

Closest i can think of is Recycle
 
Other meaningless cards:

- Trainer: "I am the Count" - Count the cards in your deck.

- Trainer: "Garbage in, Garbage out" - Count the cards in your discard pile. Put your discard pile on top of your deck. Discard the number of cards you just counted.

Okay, I can see how a basic Colorless COULD be useful.
 
At last someone else that also has seen this mysterius energy ! i have seen it i my homeland sweden and we have the english cards. I absolutely think it exsits´!
