What will happen to GG when MD comes out?

Do you think GG will crash and burn or will it be better then ever? I think that it be down graded but still playable. Will MD open up this REALLY bad format?
 
I doubt much will happen in regards to G&G, but there will be loads of new arch types (like Mantine d/Ryperior Lv.X). Pokebeach had translations up a while ago. There are lots of card combos.
 
G&G is still a very good play for nationals, but as said before, the other possible choices have broadened to include Eevee decks, Garchomp, Empoleon, and Fossils. With Magmortar, that's six possible dekc plays, and that's only from what I currently know about MD.
 
GG will still be the deck others will compare to,to see if their deck can be played in a competitive way. Nothing will be coming out (nor has it come out yet) to completely knock it off as a top deck.

Its a deck that is so customizable and consistent, theres no way it will not be able to adapt.
 
GG will probably stay about the same... but if Glaceon/Fossils can make the popularity of Mag go down enough, I've got something up my sleeve for the metagame... ;)

He said after MD comes out. Rhyperior isn't out until after MD, when Mantine will probably be rotated out.

Anyways, nothing much will change at all, perhaps GG might benefit from starters like Phione or maybe tech in the new Dusknoir as well if it is in the set. Overall, the metagame's gonna have the chance to start out fresh, GG won't lose any of its components, only popularity.
 
Dusknoir promo would have been the absolute end of any G&G decks without alternative hitters. ._.
(I already tested a few matches with this card and just a single tech of it totally screws up Plox decks.)

I'm really really disappointed of the PUI for not printing it... seems they don't want to have a good metagame anymore.

So with this MD set list, GG will still be very strong up to worlds. But at least, we have some other very good cards to play.

How will it be down graded? G&G just got better, as there are a TON of new techs for it to use.
 
This is a sad result of my recent weeks of proxy-testing:

GG is even more overpowering as it was before MD.
 
This Is my result:/ GG will be less famous and more people will be using MD mostly. See there's a bunch of cards to kill GG such as Banette, Speed Infernape, Electivire, and a bunch of other cards. plus to me, GG Is slow, So I would never use It even If I have the right cards.
 
GG will be beaten In many ways, So the GG decks will have a very small chance of winning any new deck. and BanetteEX, even though You're my worst enemy, I agree with you for once, GG Is slow. Darkrai Even beats It, I even beated #7 In the world, and GG was his best deck so that's a sign that Darkrai Is good too with Electivire.
 
Infernape fails to keep up with GG in the long run, just like the original Infernape did. Empoleon is easier to neuter as you would expect, mainly due to the simple fact that they keep hitting themselves, and Group Surf is easily stopped as well, or at least weakened. Its the new techs that make GG so much better with MD.
 
Actually, Ultimate Dusknoir played with Darkrai/Electivire and dominated the state champion and national champion from last year. He just said It was a weird combination, but no one could beat It, Even I couldn't. Giga Impact every single turn by doing 120 damage, plus he ran 4 plus power and 4 strength charm. And there's a sign how much he hates GG, I see him have 12 decks and he said they're all to beat GG. He has never lost to a GG deck, It just irritates him when he sees It. He gave away 4 Gardevoir(SW),Gardevoir LvX(SW), and 2 Gallade, He focuses all of his decks against GG to tell everybody that GG sucks.

But i think gandg will do get a little bit better BUT there is so many more deck possibilites after MD that have maybe a 50-50 matchup with gandg.
