what does 'the game' know about omastar, kabutops and rare candy

since we now have omanytes and kabutos which say both 'evolves from mysterious fossil' or 'evolves from helix/dome fossil' yet ALL kabutops and omastars say 'evolve from omanyte/kabuto' does that mean i could rare candy from either basic, mysterious fossil or the new appropriate one, to the stage 2, regardless of which kind of stage 1s i was running in the deck?

doesn't this essentially mean that until the next set reduction that omastar and kabutops decks could have 8 basics in a deck instead of the usual 4? do you think this will give them (especially kabutops) any sort of advantage?

Interesting. So you can have like 90 fossils in a deck, but only 12 evolutions

Since Mysterious Fossil and the old cards from PK/HP are likely going next season...yeah.

Otherwise, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be able to evolve via Rare Candy. All of the rules for using it are correct. The only thing is you can't evolve the new fossils into older Pokemon forms, like Helix into Omanyte HP or something.

Considering you can evolve Mysterious Fossil into Kabuto PK, and Kabutop PK into Kabutops MD, yes, I would assume you can candy Mysterious Fossil into Kabutops MD.

The only thing is you can't evolve the new fossils into older Pokemon forms, like Helix into Omanyte HP or something.

that is because it states on the card. "evolves from mysterious fossil."

however, you could evolve a new fossil into an old stage 2 fossil pokemon with candy...
