Omastar MD

This card is going to be sick and many of you gym members know it.

The card when combined with a winning TGW can render the game hopeless for the opposing player 80 % of the time. And if psychic lock is used then the game goes to 90% chance of loss in the opposing player.

There is also no way to consistantly stop this from happening. Except for the card I have thought of

Alakazam MT

By simply discarding 2 cards from your hand that Ancient Spiral is just about useless. Not only that but they can't psychic lock your power cancel. And if they Cessation Crystal they can't ancient spiral.

I don't know if someone posted this idea before but I couldn't find it in Card "Cards: Strategy, Rulings, & Collecting Questions" so I thought I'd post it.

tell me what ya think

Don't forget gardy's attack stops powers too.... And we think cessation might make a comeback.

ya but you can't psychic lock every turn consistantly all the time, and is cessation is played then omastar won't be a problem. and if cc makes a comeback it REALLY won't be much of a problem because of pachirisu.

The only downside to Alakazam vs. Omastar is Omastar (PK) will more than likely be played along with Omastar (MD). With no Kadabra available the Alakazam player will have to waste a Rare Candy for every Pull Down or risk putting Abra active to search out a second Alakazam from your deck (since the other one will be in your hand).

[del]I love how 5 out of 4 statistics are made up on the spot...![/del]

Ah, Alakazam... Such a useful trick...

That DEFINATELY should be seeing play, but isn't for some weird reason. Stopping all Telepasses at the cost of 2 cards (a price certain decks love)? Blocking Dusknoir for a turn? Obviously the Omastar stop...
Not so effective without Claydol being around to refresh the hand, just like Flygon EX PK. More effective then initial glances might suggest, just like Flygon EX PK. Probably not the end all solution, just like Flygon EX PK.

I do love that Psychic Lock can't stop Alakazam... Nor can Lati-lock. Ah, the possibilities...

...As for seeing Omastar PK with Omastar MD... I seriously doubt it. Omastar probably will see at least two copies of itself in a deck to disrupt every now and then, but probably not often enough to be a main attacker. Cards like Empoleon don't really want their spot light stolen by a not so hot attacker, unless it's to break out of Glaceon Lock, and even then, it's not perfect because you can't wager the cards away.

I dissagree one teched in Omastar PK could be devastaing you can devlove a not rare candied pokemon back to the basic stage in one turn, goodbye Double rainbow and scramble energy. Hello useless basic. I am thinking about running 4-2-(2-1-1) Omastar line in my deck last one being the DF card. It will be a good support line when combined with some other heavy hitter like Empoleon.

alakazam is a good idea unless you are facing glaceon lvl x when they evolve to omastar...
i expect we will see many, many alakazam techs in new garchomp lvl x decks

Omastar by itself is not broken. Team Galactic's Wager is the card that completely destroyed the game.

Luck wins. The odds to come back in to play are FAR higher than 20% (as stated above) but there is a chance not to draw anything that helps. At the time Omastar comes into play, your deck is already thinned and there is a high chance to get at least one or two Pokémon back in the next turn.

Omaster PK isn't that dangerous but still an interesting card. It works similar to ATM Rock and can be used with the known strategy seen in decks like Rock Lock ("spread damage and devolve to knock out").

Omastar MD can be used that way as well, maybe even better (snipe the Pokémon who survived the devolution).

And yes, I also thought about Alakazam. But except for its power this card is so crappy, and it can't do anything but protect you against come-into-play-powers (unless you play a deck that likes cards getting discarded).
