2008 Worlds LCQ (Grinder) FAQ Up!

I'm sure the memories of the 2-3 am finishes @ the grinder in years past prompts this move up. Gotta keep the staff (somewhat) fresh.

yeh..the memories of 2006 grinders...with a 300+ masters field, can not be fun at times :p
 
good move by pop. the reason they gave for starting that other grinder at 4pm was to give europeans time to get into town. "it should be done by 10pm at the latest"
 
wow!!!! Top 4??? Does that mean as soon as there are 4 people with X-0 records that the grider is over or will it be till there is 1 X-0 and let resistence decide?
 
Staff will then be showing up at what, 7:30 to prepare for this.

I am sure some of the staff night owls would prefer later to earlier...but some of the qualifiers prefer to actually get some sleep.

In any event, it is what it is.

T4 minimum. I expect more due to a lack of paid invites internationally and locally through rating invites.
 
I like how every keeps remember the I believe one grinder that when exceptionally long. It was only because of (A) a rule that was changes {Fossils} and (B) a pokemon from DX that if ko'd your opponent didnt take a prize.

I do find it interesting as it says you have to have proof submitting before a certian date. That wasnt the case any of the previous years which is interesting.

niether me nor charizard_breeder ran fossils in our decks.
 
Anyone still having an invitation to play the 2007 Worlds? in that case you are not allowed to play the 2008 LCQ.

it was impossible to play in the main event with only 1 hour of sleep . . . i SWEAR the dark dragonair was a rocket's pokeball!!! ='(

still, it would be kinda bad for the people who live outside the time zone. I need to be in line by 6 . . . lamez.

What are you complaining about, you are not even going to need to play in the Grinder are you?!?!?!?
 
This could be a problem for people who have their flights booked already..... Most people were used to it starting mid afternoon as has been the norm for many years past and took that into acount when booking airfare and hotel accomidations....

I am really disappointed that something like this was held for so long....

Wow.... 2500 already spent on airfare... now what?
