Pachi's popularity after MD?

With the main deck, GG, not using Pachi, and the new archetypes, Eevee and Empoleon not having much use for Pachi, and Mag pretty much dead after MD, will Pachi see the play it did during States/Regs? I have 3 right now and I'm wondering whether it's worth investing in and whether it will still be popular after MD, especially because of Phione, which GG/Eevee are more likely to run, and Call Energy, which gives a weaker CFF effect.

Meh, I would think it's still the ideal starter, as many decks need to run 3 lines instead of 2, the extra basic will count alot. IMO the main problem is the(possible) fall of Mag, which uses Pachi the most.

Meh, I'll prolly trade off some Pachi to get Phione

I would get a 4th as it will be good for all of next yr. You need to remember that there will be decks from newer sets that will use it.

>_> I find it severly overrated, and is limited to very few decks. I think Call Energy will take away the last spotlight, since a call energy gives you two basic per turn. Also tools are pretty much dead now. But you never know when Cessation Crystal gets revived again in the metagame.

It's popularity will lower but it will not die. Call energy is just bad and especially wiht phione thats just a waste of space. The chance of getting both is really low and in decks that need energy like ape and skittles it's a huge waste of space. There are decks that won't need a starter or a thin starter line like eeveelutions. Mag one of the biggest users of pachi almost completely dies which will lower pachi's popularity. I'm not sure about Plox considering I've never seen pachi being run with it so I'm not sure how good it is with GG or plox. and if it will stay Plox's main starter. Probaly that or stantler for plox. I think stantler or furret is a good starter for GG. I guess phione/call energy could work for emp but I don't get why.

For decks that need to thin out their basics, Pachy is still a great choice (versus Phione). Any deck running Togekiss for example really benefits from the rebalanced deck after pulling basics out with Pachy. Being able to selectively kill off cessation crystal can also be critical!

qft~

Pachirisu will of course see less play for now. While Phione+Call is being exhausted into every deck, Pachirisu will eventually be on par with it in decks like Skittles and Mag. Don't forget as well though that it'll be legal all next season, I expect a quick return to popularity with a wide variety of other upper tier starters with Phione as well.
