Oh yeah baby, just right!:thumb: You know, no matter who wins the song composition constest, one thing you can be sure of: It will have SOMETHING to do with love, time, oppurtunity, success, right now, etc. You know you have an epic finale when you have a pervert guru, Jimmy Kimmel and his mean jokes, the OMGOMGOMGJonas BrothersOMGOMGOMG, a couple of fossils on stage singing ancient songs, Amanda Overmyer looking like she wishes she was dead(lol), Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and that dude from Iron Man as Gladys Knight's pips, an emotional Paula, and an emotional Idol! All I can say is huge gratz to Cook, and YOU BETTER COME OUT WITH A GOOD ALBUM!!!!:mad:
 
This season was really really bad.. We all know archeulata was a MUCH MUCH better singer.. I think it got rigged personly.

But archuleta has been in star search and stuff like that when he was a kid, youtube it.
 
I have no problems with this season because I think that this is the first time in a long time that both the winner and runner up are actually going to do soemthing afterwards instead of flop.
You can call it rigged all you want but I think Cook had a bigger fanbase than Archy and that led him to win out. And on the note of Archuleta being better, they have two different singing styles with obviously different song choices... how can you actually compare them?
 
Both should have good careers, as long as they're managed correctly (Simon), and as long as they have songs that work best with their voices (Simon again).

I know that only two Idol winners have had music success (Underwood, Clarkson). Are they still with Simon's company? The third successful Idol goes under a different label, and has quite possibly the best debut album in a decade or more (Daughtry).

I'm just hoping that Simon doesn't mismanage the Davids' careers as badly as he's managed some of the other Idols' careers...

Once again, I really don't see what you mean as this was one of the BEST seasons they have had......

They don't rig it, more people just thought that Cook sould win (my self included). It really doesnt matter who wins in t2 as they both get contracts.

Personly as long as he gets a decent cd, David Cook could do really well.
 
Yeah, as long as ratings are up, this show will go on. Its all about ratings, and this was an epic season, finally have 2 guys against 2 guys again, and it was kind of close in my opinion. I know they will both have great careers. And whoever said this was a bad season needs to be slapped with a big trout or something. LAST SEASON was bad, but not this one. How many times did they say during the preliminaries in Hollywood that the competition was so strong this year?? Whoever said ONLY Clarkson and Underwood had good careers was wrong also. I'll admit, I HATE Fantasia and Hicks, but Studdard and Sparks are awsome. Studdard didn't exactly do much with his singing career IMO, but Jordin Sparks is STILL on thr top ten lists, and is very popular. Doesn't mean I like her though....

I think you need to realize something about when people say that Clarkson and Underwood are the only successful idol winners. (this excludes daughtry) Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are both grammy winning singers. Kelly Clarkson has sold 25 million CD's worldwide. Carrie Underwood has sold over 12 million cd's worldwide. None of the other winners or finalists have come anywhere near that kind of success. Without looking up numbers I'm willing to be that Kelly Clarkson has outsold all former idol contestants (excluding Carrie Underwood) combined. Last time I looked Jordin hasn't won a grammy and also has not had a #1 song yet.
 
That's because the 2007 season of American Idol was horrible. The only really good singer in the top 12 that year was Melinda Doolittle, and she got eliminated in the top three. Jordin won by default.

Not to mention SANJAYA, SANJAYA, GONNA SET THIS SONG ON FIRE!!!
