Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Legends Awakened Info

Heatran decks definately are going to be a big boost for Fire, maybe Metal as well. I'm also looking forward to Regigigas (the good one mind you).

Wow, AMU is a bad name. It doesn't mean anything, and you can't say it as one word. Way to dumb it down and take all the magic out of it.
*facepalms*
AMU is the Atomic Mass Unit. It is a chemistry thing, the unit used for the weights of the elements. :nonono:

I'm kind of indifferent about the set name. It sounds alright, but we already have other set names that have the word "legend". Going to wear the word out.

Shameful. totoro's got his work cut out for him, trying to educate people on the horror that is Chemistry. My college professor didn't like the term because he felt it was overcomplicated what should simply be grams/moles. Thinking that way did made it easier.

Sorry for not being a chemistry buff...but I think for those that barely scraped by in the class (myself included--got a really low B thanks to a 20-point curve on the final) we should not bring up AMU anymore. I'm getting a headache thinking about it right now...screw stoichiometry! *grumblegrumble electrondotformations grumblegrumble*

Naming the deck Uma is yet another chance to inundate the game with famous ppl! William Hung and David Schwimmer are not enough!

And the TMs are BROK'd. Give a Chatot a Call and a TS-1 and he is the culmination of the greatest starters of all time. "Hmm, after I go grab 2 basics for my bench, I'll evolve one of them, Copycat you until I get everything else set up, and then retreat for free and make Warp Point awesome about 5 turns down the road. AND make Gallade flip 2 prizes."

Yea....right.

This new set is interesting. The name surggests that there will be some ledgends appearing, such as Rayquaza, Kyogre, Deoxys; but also the release of some new LV X's. And wow! 140 cards (Not including shinies or Reverses)!!! Incredible! Pre-releases for this will be so good! Not only this, but the name is 10x better than any other DP names! I mean, Mysterious Treasures!? MAJESTIC DAWN? SECRET WONDERS???????!!!!!!!

Kingdra won a Japanese Battle Road last month, so it's per definition a good card. I agree that it can seem hard to make it work, though. It's a tricky but rewarding deck.

If anyone wants to pull the "but Japan's format is different" argument, feel free to do so. Like all other new cards that have done well in Japan in the past, this new card will do equally good in our format - IMO.

*remembers that time back in August when him and a few other people tried to argue that Blissey was going to be the next top deck in our Modified format, but most people didn't believe it would do well because the "format is different", and that other time when he tried to tell that Blissey wasn't a big, untackable problem after all because Gallade would soon be released, but people doubted Gallade would "work"*

(I'm not trying to be arrogant, I'm merely trying to state the fact that new cards that have done well in Japan will ALWAYS be good in our metagame too)

Didn't a torterra win a Cities too?

in this edition i bet in every dp5 japanese editon holos and only magnezone lv.x trio lv.x and rhy lv.x

gliscor lv.x mewtwo lv.x and heatran lv.x in a line of 3 tins

New set information already? Come on. MD hasn't even been out for a week to the public. Give some people to collect without making them worry so early on!

...anyways, 8 does seem a rather excessive number for LV. Xs. I won't lie. :/ I think that they will split it. Mewtwo, I feel, will be included though. Definitely. Don care if it's a big set- DP was pretty big and it had only 3 Lv. Xs, with Lucario, Mag, Elect, etc. kicking it to Mysterious Treasures.

And the card ratios would be the same, even if there were 8 Lv. Xs. 1-2 a booster. It's all in ratios. I doubt they'd increase them because there are more. SUPER RARES, PEOPLE?

*steps off soapbox*

Battle Roads in Japan are not the same size as Battle Roads in our POP program. In fact, they're entirely different tournaments that just for some mysterious reason share the same name. A card winning a Battle Road tournament in Japan equals a card winning a Regionals or Nationals outside of Japan.

Of course I agree that a card winning a City Championship doesn't necessarily prove it's greatness, but I'm sure you'll agree that winning a Regionals or Nationals does.

The tin pokemon usually have something in common, like 3 starters, 3 legends. This is 2 legends,
and one stage one. I emphatically disagree with you, as all the tins have been reprint X's. I think,
similar to SW, that we'll get some from DP6 in Japan. The trio X will be in, but they will be the next tins
after a single tin(like lucario.)Heatran WILL definitly be in, as Pory Z X was in MD.
