A very long day for me in Memphis, TN indeed. I get to the tourney at 10 and play a few practice games with my deck (GFG with Dusknoir TecH) which I haven't touched since regs. I go on to win the tourney, jumping 12 points and 15 places back into T50 in NA. Thanks for reading!:smile:
Round 1 against Josh S with Blissey/Weavile/Darkrai
When the game starts, he uses all of his cards in the first 3 turns or so, and can't get any energy into the discard pile. I setup a gallade with furret and just kill anything he sends up. He got all of his pokemon out, but he only had 1 evolution out at a time. I win.

Round 2 against a GUY named Angel M with Aggron/Dialga/Rotom/Raichu/Electivire/more
I thought that this kid was a n00b cuz when I saw his deck before, he had about 6 trainers. I have a bad start (Unknown Q), and he gets setup with a dialga, rotom, zapdos, and aggron. Eventually I get out a gardy and the only game that I NEED Bebe's/Rosseane's instead of draw, he plays mars, mom's, and Oak. Later I get setup with 10 minutes left in the round, and he has drawn 3 prizes. In the end I win because of Gallade sweeping through his entire deck, and he couldn't flip heads on agility with raichu. He had me scared though.

Round 3 against this kid named Brian with Magnezone/Empoleon and friends
I didn't know this kid, but he was pretty cool even though he didn't say much,,,though he kept "daydreaming" at my deck as I shuffled. I get a bad start (Unknown Q AGAIN) and he gets a T2 Empoleon MD. His deck wasn't that bad, but he misplayed a couple of times. After a while, I am setup thanks to Stantler and Furret, and I run through his deck with Gallade as well.

Round 4 against Louis T with Bannette/Scizor
This sucked, because Louis's deck was made to have like a 99 percent chance of winning against mine and his ranking is below 1600. I ge a half-decent start, and he gets a good one. he gets T2 Bannette and starts iniallating my deck. I finally get a furrett out and get 1 gallade setup with a 3 basic energy and he has 3 prizes left. From there I go aggro, and he can't pull much anything (energy included) and misplays a little. It comes down real close, and I pull off the win. Yayyyy!!! I beat the deck built just to beat mine.
NOTE: This game, after I started using keen eye, he kept marsing before I was finnished shuffling from keen eye and had no chance to shuffle my three card hand. The third time that this happened, I asked a judge and he said that I had the right to shuffle my hand and to tell my opponent to wait until I was ready. He also played 4 crystal beach and 4 cess which were quite annoying.

Round 5 against Kevin W with T2 Bannette and Electrode TecH
I had been dreading this match all day even though I knew that he had a lot of points for me to get, but what ev. My start: Unknown Q FOR THE THIRD TIME!!! I draw into a rosseane's and send up a stantler and he kills right after I lead. Next turn I send up a sentret and celiio's for a furrett then keen eye for the other needed cards to pull off a gallade with a scramble. I planned for him to have a plus power in his hand (being Kevin), which he did, and he kills my furrett. Next turn I wager his 9 card hand down to six, and then kill his bannette. He did 100 to my gallade and then I get out a dusknoir with my second furrett after retreating. He already ER2'd my scramble on my gallade. I then attack with Gallade and we trade prizes, then I KO another bannette with my dusknoir. He sends up a voltorb with a benched shuppet, and from his hand he lays down energy, shuppet, Electrode, plus power, and strength charm KO'ing my Dusknoir. I have 2 prizes and he has 1. I send up my lone ralts, evolve into Kirlia, and wager. He wins it. I attack with Psychic Research, hoping that he doesn't get a bannette this time, and for the first time I win the wager. If he doesn't have a bannette, I WIN!!! He plays bannette and wins. Later I find out that He got a bannette in every hand that round. Oh well.

Top 4 against Benny V with Beedrill- Dusknoir TecH
Game 1: I mainly attack with Gallade and he gets setup. After some judging on a confusing play, I can't do anything cuz of cripple beach and him KO'ing my only gallade and I scoop.

Game 2 with less than 30 minutes left: This game I go aggro with gardy, and dusknoir helps alot b/c he benched a 4th pokemon, so I get 2 beedrill's out of the way in 1 turn. Psylock FTW.

Game 3 with 12 minutes left: He gets setup a little faster than I do, but I go for a quick Gardy and Psylock FTW again.

FINALS against Vuth T with Infernape
Game 1: I setup with furrett and go for a quick gardy ( I learned my lesson last game). He benches 5 pokemon and plays steven's pretty much giving me a perfect situation with Wager+Psylock tellepassing steven's. Sadly, my last 2 prizes were Duskull and Gardy X. I also built that deck the night bfore learning how to play/play against it. He plays well, but in the end I win.

Overall it was a great day and I think that I learned a lot about how to play my deck better as well as how to be a better player in general.
