So yeah, we have a single free day before worlds over there, and i refuse to just use it at Disney Land..

So what's worth spending the day on?

man, go to disneyworld if you never been there before.
you take a whole day (if not 2) to see the whole park.

there're also sea world, universal and so on...

Try Epcot or Seaworld.

If you like shopping (like me) there are several Malls and "designer" outlet stores not to far away from the hotel.

We are going to try Blizzard Beach this time (swimming), most times it's to warm for us to do a lot.

Disney World isn't one park, it is actually 4 (or 6)

There is Disney's Epcott Center
Disney's Wild Animal Kingdom
Disney/MGM Studios
Disney's Magic Kingdom (Which is pretty much a copy of Disneyland in California)

Plus they have two water parks:
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach

ahhhhhhhhhhh, very true...but I believe, if I remember correctly - that the "HOPPERS" only gain you admission into the following: Epcot Center, MGM Studios and Disney World...the water parks, Animal Kingdom and Pleasure Island are all seperate admissions.

I could be wrong, but that's what I remember from '04!!!!!

but to poster #1, if you're not a Disney fan, there's Daytona and Miami Beach, NASA thingy, Universal Studios Orlando, Busch Gardens...blah blah, just take prior advices and check out Orlando fun page thingy...I'm sure you'll find something!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers,

~Breeder

when i say disney world i meant magic kingdom, sorry ^^'

just changing the subject for a while... anyone (not minors) up for any nightclub? i'd like to see the nightlife of orlando, and it would be good with some people together

with a disney parkhopper ticket, you get into magic kingdom, hollywood studios, epcot, and animal kingdom. the water parks are extra. i used to work at blizzard beach and i have to say that it's incredibly fun. ride the huge slide if you want a real rush.

I was there earlier this year and last year for regionals, and the things that really stand out for me were Epcot, and the worlds largest mcdonalds.

Id go to universal and islands adventures there both not disney. And they have some of the best roller coasters and motion stuff 3-d movies i think.

swampert97: can you tell me the directions to the largest macdonalds from hilton? lol, i need some great food ... tehehe...

ditto..... and are there any other fast food or localfood near hilton...... oh well i guess i might as well try some of the stuff out instead of boring old sandwiches and chips :D

I live in Orlando are here is where I would direct you.

You will be on Disney property and can take Disney transportation to any Disney Park - Do Disney World Magic Kingdom in the morning, if you have never been, then hop over to the hollywood studios in the afternoon and catch the closing show. Be a typical tourist and enjoy. Forget what your friends will say/think. You already play pokemon going to Disney can't hurt your rep much.

You are about to win world's and you've already gone to Disney. There will be nothing left for you to accomplish in life.

If you really do not want Disney then Universal's Parks are good. If you like roller coasters Universal's coasters are superior to Disney's. If you do Universal you want to do both and if you get there early you can do them in one day.

Kenndy Space Center Visitor Center

Get away from Orlando and take the Beeline EAST (some call it the Beachline) Hwy 528 to the Coast.
Plenty of signs along the way will lead you to KSC and the visitor center. A 45 to 60 min drive.

There is a lot to see and experience there!

My personal favorite is the Saturn V rocket. Just awe inspiring!

Get there as early in the AM as you can as there is ALOT to see and do!

I just checked the schedule and unfortunately there are no Shuttle missions scheduled around that time frame. (If we're lucky there is a Delta II with a GPS sat that's been delayed twice already though!)

You could also just come over and hang out on the beach, Cocoa Beach that is!

That's my $0.25 anyway!
