Hey guys, its been a while since if done a thread on this deck.. But after months of revision I think I have a list thats somewhat to the real list that won St. Louis and a list that works really good.. So here it is!

Pokemon: 18

4-4-4 Beedrill
2-2 claydol
1-0-1 Duskinoir

Trainers: 32

4 Rare candy
4 Master ball
4 Bebe's research
4 Stevens Advice
4 Great ball
3 Plus Power
3 Night maintenance
3 Crystal Beach
2 Warp point
1 celios network

Energy: 10

6 grass
4 multi

Any suggestions are welcome! Strategy is self explanitory pretty much.. go agro with kakunas early game, and claydol.. smack with beedrills mid game.

Real list...lol everybody has a different list it honestly doesn't matter whose list you're using as long as it works. I prefer 11 or 12 energy, but this looks like it'll do fine. I'd like to see one more Warp Point but the list is so tight I wouldn't know what to take out...maybe a Master Ball?

Quickball is not very useful in this deck. I've switched it for duskball. Usually I use them after a Bebe's or a Master Ball.

BTW: How do you handle Fire decks? I find it hard to recover if they take out a Weedle or Kakuna before I get a Beedrill out.

Fire decks are not popular right now.
Empoleon takes those decks down with ease, so that's not too big of a worry. And next format Kingdra will keep fire decks at a minimum too.

Solid list, I like it.
I think 9 energy is the perfect number though

In my state, some kid with Infernicatty has won, I think, every Battle Road. It is something to look out for.

why no call energy or phione, i know the list that won regs didn't ha ve it but it wasn't out yet ,

fire isn't popular at all,as far as swiss goes it's almost a non threat but the quality of the few fire decks being played, definately qualifies them for consideration as far as 2/3 top cut mmatches go

Call Energy might be useful, but it can't help with Beedrill's main attack which needs 1 grass. You really need at least 8 energy that can power Band Attack, more than 10 just crowd the deck. I play 7 grass, 3 multi, and I frequently end up attaching 1 extra energy to a Beedrill just so I can get extra draw with Claydol. I think that 2nd energy on Beedrill may come in handy as a last-ditch effort if I have only 1 Beedrill left.

Good luck,
Jeff

Notg tha I have tried it, but I would go Chatot over Phione. Yes Phione can get your evos out faster, but with the low nrg count, you dont want to spend it on the Phione! Chatot has 2 things going for it, Free Retreat and Cycling your hand early game. with the modified Ball Engine, Chatot helps get that hand back up for the start of next turn and keep it going!

Beedrill is interesting, but it takes a patient player to make the right moves with it!

It looks great to me, I'm pretty sure thats the exact list I used at Regionals =D

Definitely use one Strength Charm instead of a Pluspower.

I think this deck has lost some of its power, more people are playing counter stadiums and sum newer decks give it a hard time. I would still say its higher than Tier 2..but I dunno about Tier 1 anymore.

My list won 2 Battle Roads and 3rd/4rth today but in swiss went 5-0 playing i played a fire deck first round and won i use quick balls they are better than master because they go through your entire deck and i top deck alot of things with it. I also use 11 energy

Chatot is like having a buch of Copycat's in your hand. I really like the free retreat, which works very well with Beedrill. Very nice! Chatot is probably more helpful than Phione for this deck until Claydol comes up.

Swanton1717, what is the value of Strenght Charm over Plus Power? Don't they have the same effect? Plus Power seems more versatile since you can use 2 if you you have them and need them.

Jeff

Try an additional 1-1 tech of something like Vaporeon or Scizor from the new set. If you ever saw Beedrill in action at regionals, you would know that it uses Claydol as a secondary attacker to control the pace of the game and to conserve Beedrills. Vaporeon or Scizor can do the same thing, only for one energy, and you get to keep your Claydol around for draw and setup. The effects of their one-energy attacks are extremely broken. Vaporeon puts Ape, Magmortar and Blaziken in range for a 3 Beedrill Band Attack while healing spread damage (which you are very likely to accumulate if you are playing Beedrill with the correct strategy). Scizor is just hot. Against special energies, it's like a Band Attack without all that tedious setup.

You can still play 2 Pluspower and 1 Strength Charm on one Pokemon. One Strength Charm is better because u can attach it to a Pokemon, not attack with that Pokemon, and the Strength Charm still stays attached. Therefore u can drop it before a Claydol to net more cards, or Stevens to get down to 6 in hand.

Why the random Celio?

IMO:
-1 Celio's Network
+1 Time-Space Distoration

Reason:
Hopefully get a Weedle and a Beedrill, bench Weedle, then Candy into Drill.

-1 celio
+1 strength charm

Done, nothing else, no techs, no counters, nothing. It won't work if you throw in anything other than what I just suggested because it's the only way I've seen it work. To throw in anything else will kill its speed and make it useless. But it does lose to fire very easily as a heads up.
