Hey there… What? Another CaC Challenge? Even during Poketo’s Contest? Right after we just got done with the other one?!? Of course, why not? This time, the challenge will test your ability to adapt to other people’s ideas; I am talking about a Run-On Create a Card Challenge!
Ok, the idea is simple. I will start with a ‘hollow’ pokemon card; it will have the name of the pokemon, the type and HP of the pokemon, the poke-powers and poke-body names, the attacks energy cost, and all its evolution line. It’ll look somewhat like this!
Rattata (C) 40HP
Basic pokemon
(C)
(C)(C)
Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat cost:
Raticate (C) 80HP
Evolves from Rattata
Poke-power: Gnaw Away
(C)(C)
Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat cost:
As you can see, that card is missing its attacks name and power, its attacks and poke-powers/bodies effect, and its weakness, resistance, and retreat cost. This may seem really weird, but it gets better! The next person who comes on and posts, will continue this card. If someone came in after I put this up, they might come up with…
Rattata (C) 40HP
Basic pokemon
(C) Chew 20
(C)(C) Bite 40
Weakness: (F) +20
Resistance:
Retreat cost: None
Raticate (C) 80HP
Evolves from Rattata
Poke-power: Gnaw Away
Once during your turn, before you attack, if Raticate is on your bench, you may discard one card from your hand to put one damage on the defending pokemon.
(C)(C) Hyper Fang
Put damage counters on the defending pokemon equal to half its remaining HP.
Weakness: (F) +30
Resistance:
Retreat cost: (C)
As you can see, that card looks pretty good, but they may also want to do something more like…
Rattata (C) 40HP
Basic pokemon
(C) Run away!
Choose one basic pokemon in your hand, discard pile, deck, or bench. Put that pokemon as your new active pokemon and put Rattata onto your bench.
(C)(C) Toxic Bite 20
The defending pokemon is now poisoned.
Weakness: (F) +10
Resistance:
Retreat cost: (C)
Raticate (C) 80HP
Evolves from Rattata
Poke-power: Gnaw Away
Once during your turn, before you attack, if Raticate is your active pokemon, flip a coin for each energy attached to Raticate, for each heads put one damage counter on one of your opponent’s pokemon.
(C)(C) Hyper Fang 60
Weakness: (F) +20
Resistance:
Retreat cost:
Or even,
Ocean’s Rattata (C) 40HP
Basic pokemon
(C) Infiltrate
Look at your opponent’s hand. Then choose one supporter there and put it face down next to your opponent’s active pokemon (this card is neither on the field nor in your opponent’s hand.) At the end of your opponent’s turn put that card back into your opponent’s hand.
(C)(C) Steal
Choose one card in your opponent’s hand (Without looking,) and discard it. Then choose one effect on that card and use it as the effect of this attack (Ignore all requirements to use the effect.)
Weakness: (F) +10
Resistance:
Retreat cost:
Ocean’s Raticate (C) 80HP
Evolves from Rattata
Poke-power: Gnaw Away
Once during your turn, before you attack, you may flip a coin until you get tails. For each heads choose one card in your opponent’s hand put it on the top of your opponent’s deck in any order. Your opponent may shuffle their deck afterwards.
(C)(C) Master Thief 50
You may choose one card in your discard pile and add it to your hand. If you do this attacks base damage is 20 instead of 50.
Weakness: (F) +20
Resistance:
Retreat cost: (C)
Did you see that?!? Three totally different cards made from the same ‘hollow’ card! After the person finished my card, they would make a hollow of their own. This makes so the next person has to figure out how to adapt to the last person! But, of course, there are some rules you must follow.
1. All attacks must fit the pokemon, obviously no hydro pump on your Charizard. This includes energy types for all of the 'hollows' too! (They can be 'different' like using (D) for Raticate, but not like using (G) for Charizard...)
2. You may make a Lv.X, but your final stage must be underpowered in order to do so! No powerful pokemon with a massive Lv. X!
3. All cards must be done with a ‘Hollow’ card not made by you, no exceptions!
4. Only pokemon cards. No Trainers, Supporters, Energy, or anything else that isn’t a pokemon.
5. Your poke-power and poke-body effects must match the name! No ‘Healing leaf’ poke-body doing damage or anything.
6. You may only use normal pokemon for the ‘hollow’ card, nothing other than normal pokemon. But you may use trainer names, dark, light, rockets, Ect… In the finished card!
7. No PMing each other and making a card together! This is not what the challenge is about! Anybody caught doing this will have ALL of there cards voided and ineligible for the challenge!
8. ‘Hollow’ cards must only include the information that I let it, no putting anything other than the name of the pokemon, the type and HP of the pokemon, the poke-powers and poke-body names, the attacks energy cost, and all its evolution line.
9. You MUST put a ‘hollow’ pokemon after you finish the last ‘hollow’ pokemon. If you do not the pokemon you just made will be voided!
10. First come first serve, if someone posts right before you did and stole the ‘hollow’ you wanted… Tough noodles.
11. You must make the full line of the pokemon and ‘hollow’ pokemon. They can’t evolve unless you do so!
12. You may change a poke-body into a poke-power and you may change a poke-power into a poke-body if the effect needs you to. (For example, I could have made Gnaw Away a poke-body.)
13. You may make as many cards as you like!
NEW RULE! 14. You may make a built in poke-item on any basic in your 'hollow', follow the same rule as the poke-bodies/powers. The 'hollow' has the name, and the finished gets the effect.
NEW RULE! 15. You MUST post a 'hollow' pokemon even if you reserve a card...
NEW RULE! 16. You can only have one reservation at a time. And you can't make ANY cards (Even the current 'hollow') untill you make the card you reserved!
NEW RULE! 17. All pokemon evolution lines must be the correct evolution lines.
Geez, that is a lot of rules, make sure to read through them all carefully!
Just like last time there will be two winners, one will be for the best finished card, and the other will be for the best ‘hollow’ card, so really try hard when making those ‘hollow’ cards! And, there will be a minor prize too, hopefully this time I can find something a little less… Creepy…
Now, I’ll start with a ‘hollow’ card, if at any time there is not an unfinished ‘hollow’ card I will make one! Observe my mad ‘hollow’ pokemon skills.
Charmander (R) 60HP

P.S. Remember, you CAN change a poke-power into a body and vice versa...
