i have been wondering about the new pop 8 promo booster packs
and, and the fact that, this one will be a great chance for repairing the big loss
of important supporters , trainers and pokemon tools that happened in the new format dp-on.

please do comment, don't bash

cheers :)

You will find out at Worlds 08 if at all about POP 8. The best answer POP will give you is I can not confirm or deny that there will be a POP Series 8.

I suspect that POP 8 will be almost all re-prints (as 6 and 7 were).

These are my prediced cards:

Felicity
TGW
Eevee (both MD versions)
All non-Lv.X Eeveelution

Um, no I don't think so. I don't think any of those have a second version printed in Japan. A good rule of thumb is if it hasn't been reprinted as a promo your not going to get it most likely in a POP Set.

I'd say the rule of thumb is we will have it if it's been promo'd. Most of POP7 wasn't.
But you're roght, almost every NDP promo before POP 7 was in a POP set.

I would rather have alternative art on a card than another card sitting around that I don't play.

Tell me you would rather a Zangoose d instead of (Rainy Time) Ralts POP7.

To be on topic, it would be difficult to make any prediction right now as Burger King will be releasing 12 cards before POP8's (alleged) release.

According to my TO it's 3 card packs, and will feature reprints of ex series cards, no lie here.

That could be interesting. Bring back POW!

Double rainbow or scramble would be welcome. They've been in format ever since I started, even though I've never used them at any of the three nationals I've played at. They just seem to be a crucial part of the game.

^ NO THEY WOULDN'T! :p At least, I wouldn't welcome them. Don't know what I would like to have re-printed. Hm... Gust of wind? XD

We all know what we'll get. A bunch of reprinted commons and maybe the different art Chomp Lv.X or Porygon Z Lv.X. But thats only if we're lucky, very lucky.

We're not getting a Lv. X, seriously. If they ever planned on putting Lv. X's in POP packs, they would have done it in POP6 or 7.

its to early to be talking about Pop 8. If anything, there will be a Preview at World 08. If not, you will have to wait until September for Pop 8. Its every Six month a new Pop Set come out and the Last one came out in March

Pokemon-* existed long before Espeon* and Umbreon* showed up in POP5, so I don't think that "they haven't done it yet" is a valid metric. It would be a great way to encourage league participation, and it would help to explain why we didn't get Garchomp and Porygon-Z tins despite having the alternate artwork available. It's a totally reasonable proposition. In any case, I expect that they'll be sticking with the usual stream of reprints, but I certainly would be surprised if anything from SW or earlier was included.
