I know in the past there was someone who took a lot of pictures and uploaded them to the gym...was this person at nationals again this year to take pictures? And if so when should we expect pictures to be up? Thanks.

unfortunatelly he was not there this year. I have a pew pics uploaded right now in the gallery though

Pokemon did not want photos this year, so with gas the cost it is, having 2 kids in college, we sat out Nationals and saved money, they tell me that that also don't want them at Worlds. POP upper management saw no value in having them and stopped the staff slot.

Let's be clear.

POP upper management is me. I wanted a photographer.

PUI upper management is not me, and did not 'see the value'.

Guess who wins that battle?

Thats a shame because the pictures were certianly a huge part of returning home & coming to the gym! I always enjoyed Cameraman's work at the events! To bad they are doing away with this. :frown:

Dave,

I knew it was someone above you, but not really sure where the division between POP and PUI was.

That is a shame. I have a few pics of my league kiddos. I need to wait until our next league to ask for permission to share.....

Dave,

Just wanted to make sure that we all understood this wasn't a POP decision.

I'm sure my boss would say that technically he's the upper management of POP, but, I'll respectfully disagree with that.

Andy got some great photos on the site, but simply can't top the volume of event coverage we got from the Schell army.

Thanks,
Dave

I was also looking for the great photos all weekend so I could see the action from my seat here at home. Enjoyed looking at them in the past and am sorry to hear there are less photos this year. I did enjoy the ones posted on the POP site though! Thanks Mike, for your efforts in the past years, the pics were really enjoyed by those of us who can't make the trip to Ohio.

I have to be honest I missed it, but my oldest Chris is in school in Seattle, one trip there to bring him home, and another in August to take him back, and Alan starting this year also, we just needed to save the money. Had gas not been so expensive we may have tried it.

I took some photos too. . . .

I wondered where you were CameraMan. Now you know you've been missed.

I'll upload my photos in the gallery or you can click here to see them by slideshow.

They are only from Friday and Sunday as I chumped and left my camera battery in the hotel room on Sat.

Enjoy!

Wow, Your awesome pictures will be missed CameraMan!

And nice slide show ilikegengar, very nice pictures.

Mike

seems a little odd that PUI would not want pictures of what ought to be a big marketing oportunity. Psyduck and I are both confused .

I took that to mean PUI did not have money in the budget for Cameraman's trip this year, not that they didn't want pics taken.
