Pokemon TCG for the DS?

Ok so I know for a fact that there are alot of Yu-gi-oh games for the ds each with newer and newer sets.

I'm still boggled as to why pokemon has not come out with a much wanted TCG game (idk about anyone else but i HATE play testing and using proxies and I hate switching sleeves everytime i make a new deck or putting the other cards back )

I am well aware of redshark ...... but you cant take your big computer with you to nats or worlds and play test the entire way there with friends (via ds link ...like you and a friend in the car ) I think this would make people use the friend code thing more often and allow players to play people all over the world without restriction of where they are

ALSO I think it would be neat for players to be able to play test decks and not spill the beans with other players about there SD's

I dont know why pokemon has not made a game for the tcg since GBC but they really need too :\

This was just on my mind and i was wondering if anyone knew anything like if there is one in making or to just discuss

Thanks
Adam~

I agree I have been saying forever that Nintendo, PUSA or whoever is in charge of that needs to release another TCG game for pokemon.

The reason we havn't seen a new TCG game is more than likely development time. Nintendo first party products are of the highest quality, unlike the YuGiOh games, and take a lot of time to develop. By the time they get a game out that has Legends Awaken in it, we'll be onto the next set. There's no way they could create a up-to-date game without knowing the next set or two before it's even released.

They could do a game with the EX series cards. That wouldn't create much problems.
And we have discussed this millions of times, and i'm sure petitions were sent to nintendo.

Thats exactly it. My thoughts are, if there will be a TCG game, it will be for the Wii. This way, you can download new content and updates for the game when new sets or rules are released. Unless they are going to make games of older sets like the EX series, it cannot be done on the DS.

Bah. Why make the TCG on a video game? It's a TCG, for Pete's sake!

I really don't see the point. Redshark is good enough if you are desperate for playing people in Hawaii.

it could be on the ds, and u can download content from your wii to your ds

Actually it can be done with The ds.. Make the game have wi-fi and a downloadable data base like redshark.

Yes, but I'm talking basic probabilities, not hopeful miracles. There is a lot more that could be done to make it good for the DS, but if were talking downloadable content, in all probability it will be made for the Wii.

I would like to see it as well. It would be cool to have the TCG come out on the handheld again. There were only two versions back in wotc days (second one was never made outside japan)

I agree that a TCG video game needs to be release, however, It should be similar to redshark, and for the computer. However, you would get full TCG images, an easier way to control the game, better connectivity to play other players online, and many more improvments (in no way I am trying to go against redshark, as it is a very good system).

I have also been thinking that it would be a good idea for them to make a TCG for the PC or game system. Maybe the next gen. DS would be able to support such a program.

Yeah, a pc game would be nice, and I think it would work well, but not sell well. If you can already download Redshark, why purchase another pc game? I guess it would just have to be greatly improved.

ApachePrime is right the only reason i would see yugioh as a TCG game for any thing would be the release ok knowledge or a couple sets before they acctually come out.

And seeing Pokemon TCG Video Game comeout would be cool but be litteral, who would acctually buy it outside of the pokemon market targeting?

Um. . . you do realize that the Pokemon games sell millions (most games are lucky to get 100k lifetime sales), right? Do they really need anyone outside of their target audience?

Man this would be cool. They could have a station set at Walmart/Toys R US/EB games/etc. so that every time a new set would be released, you could download the content of the new set. It would be a great way to experiment and alot of people would buy it and even more people would get into POP.

Not possible since there would have to be some sort of storage for the extra sets.
They would already have to be programed in.
If they ever made this I would buy it.

That wouldn't be a problem. Any DS cart with a save function already has a little flash memory in there for storing that data, so I wouldn't deem it impossible. All they'd have to do is boost the amount in this game, or give it a microSD slot

I remember Pokemon did make two PC games called Pokemon PLAY IT! and Pokemon PLAY IT! 2. That is where I was first introduced to the game and how I learned! But you had to play with only one deck that couldn't be modified against one annoying AI named Julie or something lol.

I doubt they'd make one for DS. Only way you'd ever play the current TCG on there would probably be if someone develops a homebrew to do so (which I don't see that happening either).
