Here are the Pokemon promos that were made and given out to people at Origins 2008.
Note that this is the first year that there is a Staff version of the Origins stamped card, for those working the Pokemon booth in the vendors hall.

i want a staff one....... THEY LOOK SHINY!!!(staff)ima make a shinx luxio and luxray promo deck. XP
 
So...Where did people even pick up the Shellos, anyways? I saw one booth that had a sign about asking them to receive the Shellos...is that the one and only place to the Shellos?
 
I really liked all the promos that were given out this year. I got both versions of each one.

The only place to get the Origins promo was from the Pokemon Demo booth that Cathy, Patricia, Ronoe, and many others spent the weekend at.
 
The shellos could be received from the Nintendo booth. Other collector booths were offering a dollar for each one brought to them.

Were there ever Stamped Bulbasaur, Mr Mime, Squirtle or Pikachu Dittos?

Maybe the theme is that the Origins card is a just a Pokémon with multiple forms.

I beleive the Shellos was Mike's idea. I love it. I like seeing staff getting more cool stuff that they 100% deserve. :thumb:

My whole family got to help out at the Pokemon booth a few times over the weekend. Those times meant so much to my boys. They LOVED being able to give back to Pokemon and teach other kids. They were so pleased with the experience. And then you should have seen their faces when they were each given a STAFF card for volunteering. I think those cards have a higher binder spot of honor than the Lv Xs they pulled during league. So, thanks. Great call to have Staff Origins cards.
 
Luxray, horrible story to go along with it. Since it has only been recently that I've gotten back into the game, I heard about the promo being given out at the Nats in Vancouver BC. Now, having been out of the loop for so long I was totally unaware that you needed to be registered for them to get the card, and if I had known I would've made up a crappy deck, signed up with it and just withdrawn after I got the card, but since I didn't know I couldn't get it I didn't. Now since Luxray is my absolute favourite Pokémon ever, I was totally ruined. Still, some lady infront of me went around asking if there was any way I could get the card, then her daughter offered me her deck just to sign up with. That would've been fine if her sleeve covers weren't as scratched as they were. Then she offered to just give me hers, but I declined knowing that it had the Nationals stamp on it, thinking it would be a good souvenir. In the end, we walked over to the table where they sold cards and just bought the holo. Huge ordeal just for Luxray, but it's worth it!
