I would like to use moltres in a deck, but ssu is too unreliable. Are there any other (dp-on) cards that can indirectly get moltres back to my hand faster?

It's 62,5% success rate with 1 moltres and 1 SSU.

First moltres drop: 50% success
If you fail that, 25% possibility for both super scoop up and power to work. So 25% from 50% is 12,5%, hence 62,5% total.

I know that there are guys here that could make a graph about this (Magic_umbreon, where are you now?).

Let's keep on topic guys and not simply slip into arguing about math as that will lead to warnings and infractions.

There is Garchomp Lv X's Restore which won't put it into your hand but it will put it on your bench with up to 3 energies so it would not really matter if you failed the Moltres flip or not.

Also Alakazam* has an attack that lets you put 1 card from your discard into your hand. (Psychic Select) Since it is an attack the Moltres would have to sit in your hand until your next turn though and you could lose it due to a Wager, etc.

While the moltres power is a nice deal, I'd focus a lot on getting a fire starter benched. After Moltres attacks, you can warp point him back, and have him up and kicking in 3 turns.

Convinently, Moltres makes a good wall while your trying to set up. 100 hp investment for 1 card is not bad at all, though weakness to empoleon hurts, but Moltres can force Gallade to flip 3-4 prizes to kill it. If you have a fire starter, he won't sonic blade it, as all he'll be doing is setting himself up for a suprise smack later (that can almost flatten the Gallade on its own).

You may also get jolly's out of the card "Mount Stark" coming in Legends Awakened. I won't spoil here, just gonna hype it.

Well, for my deck I get t2 moltres by discarding with felicity and using lots of energy. I just play down 3 or 4 and hope a couple of them flip heads. But if I play another pokemon, the deck isn't as consistant. So I was wondering if there was a way I could just attack with moltres. I think I am going to have to add another line.

Thanks everyone.

its not the best but Rotom MD could get you most of the energy for recharging moltres, hes kinda weak though, you'd get one to three turns likely to use his power.
