Uh? It's been Hurricane since Autumn BRs. You can call it what you want, but the popular name is Hurricane. I can call PLOX Green Eggs and Ham for all I care, does that mean PLOX no longer or never exist(ed)?

Hurricane is either: Magneton PK and Delcatty PK or Claydol GE with Ferligatr MT. Focusing on the first attack Energy Cyclone.

By posting the above quote, you made your own statement false by your own logic.
Thus by your logic, you day the deck IS called Hurricane.

What would you rather have named it? Did you write the article for the Gym? I think that the writer who originally presented the decklist in full article form should generally be the one to name it, unless there is a better recognized name he/she uses.
Unless you could definitively prove you created the deck, there is no way to claim any rights to the correctness of the name.
That may be what the PokéGym calls it but PokéGym =/= the Pokémon TCG and the people who played the Feraligatr deck before that name was ever used don't recognise it. This isn't a democracy. The term Hurricane deck was only ever used by proper people sarcastically at DarthPika's expense.
And for the record I never personally claimed to be the originator of the deck.

Also, I don't really care what people called Gatr before the name Hurricane came around, nor do I care whether the "original Gatr players" recognize that name. (for that matter, I don't mean that ALL Gatr decks must have the name Hurricane...)
All I was disputing was the existance of a deck named Hurricane for the information of a player.

I don't know who you are, but Hurricane is the name of the deck and the one most people use for it. Bash me all you want but it wont change the fact that the deck did well while it was playable. Granted it didn't ever do as well as it could have if it weren't for various decks, but it did do well. Most players reconize the name, and yes, the good ones know it and use it to.

....what an idiot. Proper origin or not it goes by hurricane. call it hurricane or call it feraligatr decks but stop trying to tell someone that the name most commonly used on the pokegym is wrong.

I believe it is the simple fact that the person that started this thread asked what "the Hurricane deck" was is all that matters. They did not know the alleged real name that Ryuzaki claims makes Hurricane a false name because they have been reading these forums and stumbled upon the deck Hurricane. Had the person seen the deck referred to with a different name other than Hurricane frequently enough, then the person would have asked about it by that name, but he/she didn't, and he/she asked about Hurricane.
And if Hurricane is not the original name, why not go ahead and tell what that name is then Ryuzaki? I'm surprised you did not include it in any previous posts since you are so insistent Hurricane is a false name.

What is all the fuss about, its a dead deck that was never all that popular anyways, it really only existed in that very short time frame after last years World Championship and Before Cities started this year.
The format was extremely limited as all we had was HP, CG. DF, PK, DP and MT. So there were not a lot of choices. The deck always was 2nd Fiddle to Blissey in Battle roads anyways and as soon as SW came out it and Blissy disappeared as the Metagame became completely dominated by G&G and Magmortar.
So to answer your question Hurricane was a deck that needed one stage 2 and two stage 1 pokemon to be in play inorder to work, and when powers began to be shut down with Psychic Lock everywhere it went the way of the 8-track player.

Most decks without a cool name get a mash of all pokemon in it so y didn’t you say Deltongator. lol just kidding, but to be honest y dose it matter what it is called as long as we all know what is being talked about. This seams like people fighting for just that reason. To fight. Cool it of and let’s try to get back on topic..

Most deck aren't named by the main attacker... and for all I know you could be talking about Feraligatr d.
The deck is named Hurricane after its energy cyclone attack. If you can't figure that out try googleing cyclone and see what you come up with.
