How did you find this before me? It is nice to see Pokemon and the US Nationals getting some press. I really wish these reporters would get the facts straight.

whoa, NICE article! :thumb:

i'd guess GAMA isn't too pleased with the last bit of that piece, though :
The annual Origins Game Fair also took place in the exhibition room next to the tournament, giving the ultimate game lovers the opportunity to explore games in addition to Pokemon.

I put a lot of the local news on the dvr during Origins since I saw some cameras, etc. I'm checking them here and there but so for the only spot I've found was actually on a half-hour sports round-up. If I find anything, I will post it!

Pokemon is becoming so popular in media these days. I think that in a few years there will be TV shows that discuss pokemon cards etc.

I'd love to see a show where they are live at worlds and comments about what is happening and all the results.
However I hope that we won't get as far as filming pokemon games directly on TV because that could distract the player.

We could always do it like Poker does, film ONLY beforehand, and then trim and add commentary afterwards. Granted, each round of Nationals is likely to be a full show in and of itself. You also don't necessarily need to have moving cameras either. Just 1-2 for each match should be enough. That overhead camera from last year was pure brilliance, and I wish that I could've seen that one in full speed, rather than in 3x speed...

If we did it like Poker, we'd have players with their hands on the table and bending them up a little in the back for a camera. But yeah, pretty nice article.:thumb:
