Well, with the threat of Empoleon creating Magmortar players to Binder the Fire Beast, I have been working on a metal deck that is consistent and loves Special Energy. Aggro Catty was something I worked on for a while but wiht GG locking it, Delcatty just gets back to the binder with Magmortar. So here is an idea that just makes things more simple and str8 forward!

METAL MANIA!

POKEMON 15

3 Aron
2 Lairon
3 Aggron (MT)

3 Scyther
3 Scizor

1 Chatot

TRAINERS 29

3 Felicity's Drawing
4 TV Reporter
4 Celio's Network
3 Castaway
2 Rosie
4 Cessation Crystal
3 Rare Candy
2 Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance
2 Super Scoop Up... Since I saw what CM can do with it, Wynaut!

ENERGY 16

2 Double Rainbow
4 Special Metal
6 Basic Metal
4 Call Energy

So there you go. It is an interesting deck that works rather well and helps balance each other. Scyther is a Quick hitter and most people are playing Special Energy so you can do decent damagefor 1 and keep going. Allow Scyther to setup and take hits while getting Aggron loaded on the bench. Place the Special Metals on Scyther so when it gets koed, Aggron can come up and hit for 70 for CC. This allows you to reload the nrg back into the deck so oyu can recycle regularly! Cessation Lock is great against GG and resistance is fantastic. I considered going with 1-2 Unown G for Sonic Blade and Bring down, but decided against it as Aggron's HP just ruins Gallades Psychic Cut. Blade is fine as you just cycle up a Scizor and hit for 80 as most Gallade that Sonic Blade use the DRE on them. Call Energy is for setup and I went wiht Castaway over Rosie... however, this is risky do to Basic HP. I considered taking SSC to 2 and RC to 3 to go wiht 2 Rosie... but that will take more testing!!

So there you go, Metal Mania! Have Fun with it and make it your own!!

I like it, dude! Great job in Utilizing Scizor, I ran him with Magnezone, it worked pretty well!!!

But, you Still need a way to to get Basics, I advise ATLEAST 2!!!

Rosie was definitely needed after real testing and this deck is very underestimated on the total damage output possible. Interestingly enough, the DRE are for the Hard hit from Aggron JIC to do 90. Only 2 really are needed after using Aggrons first attack. You cna cycle them back in and keep it going fro a good while!

Cessations are key to GG and shuts dow nclaydol!!

Well since it's not DP-On...

-1 Aggron MT
+1 Aggron PK

-2 of something
+2 Boost

Your Aggron's will be happy that your feeding them Boost Energy =D

I noticed at Nats that a lot of decks tech'd in a Mew d*. You run a lot of special energy yourself, so Mew d* would be able to copy Scizor's attack to hit your active for 80 for 1 energy. Mew d would hurt even more since it's fire.

Good luck with it.

What not worried about fire weakness apparently.
Why does this look so familiar?

If you have a deck like this, then congrats. I don't know why it looks familiar but it is interesting and my son and I discussed on the flight back.

The idea is for the Cessation lock so the PK Aggron, whereas it is nice for setup, wont be helpful.

:frown:prime doesn't love me anymore!! :frown:
I see what your are saying but I was seeing more Jirachi EX than the Mews so I went with It!! I could actually techa Mew d* as well for bonus action!! Okay maybe not do the pretty much all Metal!

I still <3 Prime!! He is the sexiest!!

The psychic resistance is nice. It'd be nice to see a Lunatone in here so you could continuously discard a single metal to activate Aggron's first attack every turn. I wish it just activated if there were any metal in there, but it might be hard to have a special metal in there every turn.

I don't care for Aggron's second attack.

Honestly, I think the deck could do better without Aggron. Aggron only really helps with it's first attack. I guess Aggron makes for a decent wall against prize flipping Gallades.

Maybe Pidgeot SW could be used instead. Cheap attacks (2 energy for both), free retreat, and has resistance to fighting. Pidgeot's second attack would be a decent setup for Scizor. 50 + 80 = 130. Throw back a Gallade with a DRE and just wait for it to come active so you can OHKO it with Scizor.

Good luck with the deck Fish, your still awesome.

I considered instead of Scyther going with a Bronzong but that is counter productive with the Cess Lock.

Aggron is a wall of ENORMOUS POWER!! If you have 1 Speical Metal attached and the Gallade has a DRE, your talking flipping over 5 prizes for the ko. Then what, scizor is safe to cleaup hit! And you still have the other Aggrons setting up for Power hitting at 90-100! Scizor is a Quick hitter and a Cleaner which makes it very versatile! I consider doing Scizor with Darkrai and going with Dark Metals, but the overall strength of the Wall is fantastic!

So far it is going more smoothely wiht the Rosies in there and the setup is just awesome! Cessation Lock kills my sons GG and he is hating life.....oh well, Dad still has it!!

<3 Prime...... your the Bestest!!

Maybe Darkrai GE #3 as a starter? Get DRE or Special Metal if you have enough Pokemon, or get Call to get basics if you have enough energy.

I was laughing about it kinda because you posted this like an hour after my BF posted his. They look allot alike so maybe you should check his for ideas of how i feel on this deck. However I'm concerned that your very weak to fire try running it with Glacieon or umm... I don't know but I'd chose Aggron or Sizzor and then try another line. Mag/leaf is getting way to big to quick. All this is just food for thought.

I like the idea of this deck. I think I am going to throw it together and see if one of the kiddos enjoy it and maybe tweak it a bit to their style. Thanks for the new ideas!!

so far this deck seems to do really well against most in format right now. The Weakness of fire is a risky one for those that stickt Mag/ Ape decks, but those are fewer than others so it isn't as worrisome. NTM Cessation lock hurts them as well!!

No real tweaks at this point other than the Scizor start seems to do very well against most decks allowing for the Aggrons to build on the bench! Aggron starts are ok, but for some reason lack any real speed other than the Felicity's/TVR, but it is not consistent really. Scizoris a beast and works well and the combo works really well against GG!
