Ok, the deck about to be displayed could be so devastating that you can be taken down the turn it is set-up.

pokemon:20

4 Smeargle
2-1-2 Blastoise
2-2 Claydol
3-3 forretress LA
1 Azelf LA

energy: 20

4 call energy
16 :water: energy

trainers: 20

4 Rare candy
4 roseanne's
4 Bebe's
4 supah scupe uhp (that is imo how it should be spelled)
2 Night Maintenance
2 POV

Strategy: Wait til you have 10+ energy in hand with blastoise and then water log the energy to forretress. Foretress's body will set off so many coin flips that you are bound to hit some tails.
hitting 5 tails will give you the win against AMU. 7 tails will give you the win against Kingdra.

The only card that can counter this deck is TGW, and if they don't draw into it they lose. If you start with smeargle you color pick for 4 turns, set up blast and foretress and then you will most likely have the win.

Forretress LV.43 – Steel – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Pineco

Poke-Body: Iron Shell
Whenever a Basic Energy card is attached to this Pokemon from hand, the owner of this Pokemon flips a coin. If tails, 2 damage counters are placed on every Pokemon in play, excluding any Forretress. This Body doesn't work when Energy is attached as an effect of an attack.

[M][M][C][C] Explosion: 100 damage. Forretress does 40 damage to itself.

Weakness: Fire (+20)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

Azelf LV.55 – Psychic – HP70
Basic Pokemon

Poke-Power: Time Walk
You can use this Power once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand onto your Bench. Look at all of your face-down Prize cards, then return them face-down. If you'd like, you may choose 1 Pokemon card out of those Prize cards, show it to your opponent, and put it in your hand. If you do, choose 1 card from your hand and play it face-down as a Prize card.

[P] Imprison: 20 damage. The Defending Pokemon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn.

Weakness: Psychic (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

ya but that is still pretty good odds, if you have bebe's in your opening hand or a claydol with call and you will get the T2 dol.

Could you give more advice.

Don't forget that you take the same damage too and you saying that you can get set up really fast and get a lot of water energy's in you hand when you don't have a real starter in here. It seems like a good consept but don't forget that the whole deck is based on luck. You stack almost all of your energy onto fortress so you don't have a real attacker so if you don't get enough tails you lose because your pokemon are weak too so it's easy for you opponent to get kills.

I'd try to focus more on set up though because your only set up is call energy, bebe, roseannes and claydol that won't work that well with smeargle. I would either play a different starter or a different suport pokemon like porygon 2 or something else. Take out the SSU because it's more luck you don't need. And play quick ball or dusk ball. Also you don't need more than a 2-2 fortress especially because you have azelf.

ya I tested this deck on Redshark with proxies and this deck is terrible., if they have a fully powered pokemon with 130 hp or more the deck fails.

My guess is that this isn't going to work the way you think it should. Forretress will probably receive errata so that it only goes off once per action of attaching energy, i.e., you would only get one flip even if you attached 10 energy with Waterlog. If it doesn't, I heartily endorse this product or service :thumb:

Either way, relying on an uninterrupted Smeargle is pretty bad, and is a nombo with Claydol. 4x Energy Search ftw

I did some redshark testing as well.

Claydol is a problem because you can't use after T2 without dumping your Smeargled NRG. So I swapped in Furret (2-2) keeping 1 smergle(Trace is the only chance to win if you don't wipe out all of your opponents Pokemon which happen all to frequently even with 12 flips against any 130 HP Pokes). While Claydol becomes useless Furret can provide 3 NRG per turn until you run out of Roseanne OR it can finish your Blastoise/Forretress set-up.

I think that you might be on to something here, but this build doesn't seem to do it.

What about a Blastoise centered deck, build up to max DMG 90 for 5 NRG, dumping NRG to discard, trade some damage, use something like Decatty Xs upstream (I think I saw something on a spoiler that bring NRG back to your hand can't remember what it was) then clean-up/Big Finish with Forretress?

*edit* (Checked spoilers nothing for discard -> hand, several options for discard -> Deck, but don't think it will fly)

that's true, no matter how many nrgy that is attached due to water log, it only counts as one nrgy attachment.s
